“Richter? Hey, Richter, wait up!”

Aster almost can’t believe it-- he’s been searching for days! People had told him that Richter might not be in this city, but... they’d been together last he remembered. It would only make sense that he’d show up too, right? And as unscientific as it might be, he also just had a feeling that Richter was close.

Aster takes a moment to catch his breath as he jogs to catch up, before grinning up at his best friend. “Man, you’re really fast when you put your mind to it, huh? I’m glad I found you, I was starting to worry.” He has so much to catch him up on, but right now he’s just happy to see him. Even though it really hasn’t been that long (has it?), he’s really missed him.

“So much has happened, huh...? On the bright side, at least we’re together now. I’ve learned so much, Richter, I can’t wait to tell you about everything I’ve discovered.”

“What’s so important about all these books, anyway?” Kay lays on her back, with her legs resting up against a tree-- when she’d asked him to teach her some stuff like he had for Emil, she hadn’t expected so many reading assignments. At least she convinced him to take the study session outside in the shade.

“Don’t get me wrong, I like to read, but... why do we have to learn about history for a place we aren’t even from? I don’t want to read about wars and stuff-- can’t we just skip this part and move on to the fun books?”
