Winter Olympics version

Mao flying with her snowboard to show off in front of Rei

Meanwhile Rei helping Kenny/Kyoujyu to learn how to fly (they are taking it very seriously)

Max trying curling, convinced he was going for something easier and regretting all his life choices

Daichi being the real star of the event in disguise after he stole the Olympic Mascot costume from a closet (HE IS SO EXCITED)

Neoborg teaching the world how to do curling the Russian way and make it actually useful

Raul and Julia Fernandez being perfectly in sync and winning every single ice dance competition

Yuriy pulling off life-risking moves that he casually learned while skating on Lake Baikal

Kai Hiwatari doing the giant slalom at 150km/h speed because he is not for teamwork and wants the entire slope for himself only

Takao/Tyson going for the hockey puck and getting nearly killed by Rick Anderson's glorious butt

Bonus: Mascot-Daichi falling, getting a broom on his head without reason and being left there in the snow for 3 hours because nobody knew it was him (the broom cracks me up every time)

So based on these two street blading meta posts, I kinda wanna headcanon who could be a street blader on the down low from the series.

Olivier

He does probably fund street blading communities in Paris quietly, and he always is interested in whatever artistic accomplishment they'll come up with. He's also fascinated with their creativity.

But I don't think he makes his presence known very much because he doesn't want to draw attention from the street blading community, and also he's a tournament blader.

But he'll secretly back a small business idea that someone comes up with, aka, 'more durable performance tips,' or 'Rip Cord Launcher which is more efficient' or whatever.

RICK SANDERS

He's the first time we see someone as part of a betting tournament in an New York. Where exactly, I dunno. But he's probably a big part of the beyblading community.

He's not extremely particular about it, and probably goes to pick fights with gangs and irritate them hahah

I mean it kind of speaks for himself. Blade Sharks and all. I've said that he's outgrown street blading quite a bit.

But I think he keeps an eye out in the street blading community.

Since he's based in Japan, I headcanon that Osaka and Tokyo have a strong rivalry in their street blading community, and some of the best BBA bladers came out of those two.

I've talked a lot about the switchblade gimmick which people add to their beyblade, and how it's kind of sucky sometimes. It's a double edged sword, because yes, you could actually mess with your balance.

I think Kai actually mastered the switchblade technique out of boredom.

He's also probably went through a phase where he hated the way beyblade was conventionally played, and perfered a more destructive style. But he's come a long way since. Kai's character is all about self-expression anyway.

I think that's why, he still wears blade shark paint. So Kai has the most interesting relationship with the subculture.

They all use 'cheating' in Tournaments, and that's where I really started to get into this idea of the subculture. Tournaments clearly have a defined set of rules or a sense of what is conventionally accepted.

They were originally street bladers, who knew how to use tricks to win effortlessly.

I think the guilt came from the fact that this is seen as a sign of cheating, but they'd be an incredible street blading gang.

KING AND QUEEN

Remember how I said that street bladers get soooo pissed if you steal their parts.

Guess who can effortessly steal parts?

They probably rig a beyblading gang's chances of winning by offering them more parts, or get hired to take down a particular pesky blader.
