We thought, toys in February? Since when? The Christmas holiday just happened. It was odd.

Day 152/365 - NEWSical
By Rick Crom
NEWsIcal is a musical with music, lyrics and book written by Rick Crom. In ever-changing songs and sketches it lampoons current events, hot topics, celebrities, politicians and other well-known entities. Everyone from President Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Nancy Grace and Oprah Winfrey to Christina Aguilera, Elena Kagan, Dr.Phill and Sarah Palin are skewered. New songs are added on a continual basis to keep up with the headlines.
The soundtrack I listened to is the 2011 “Full Spin Ahead” version. Songs included are:
* Twelve Little Months
* A Disclaimer
* Very Busy At BP
* Supreme Girls
* Sexting
* Infomercials
* My Lovers Voice
* Wiener In The Shower
* Liza Meets Gaga/To Be A Diva
* Fran Drescher
* Morgan Freeman
* Pee Wee Herman
* Celine Dion
* Harry Potter At 62
* Toyota
* Felt Up At The Airport
* It Was Worth It
* I’m Not Running For President
* Sarah Palin
* Larry King’s Last Show
* Don’t Leave Me Oprah
* Obama’s Dream
* Denial
* Restless Leg Syndrome
* Balloon Boy
* The Underwear Bomber
I honestly can’t choose any favourites here - musically there are so many brilliant contributions, and also lyrical comedy is amazing. I’d be curious to see what has come of other newer versions - like Mock The Week The Musical!
STAND-UP COMEDY Performing at Character Flawed with Bob DiBuono. Loving the new material that we are working on with my teacher Rick Crom.
STAND-UP COMEDY Comedy debut at the Comedy Cellar. My teacher Rick Crom (who is awesome, by the way) introduce my set with “Flo Ankah is no longer a comedy virgin!”
I actually have the cast recording of this one...and there isn’t one...
Go Go Crazy
Go Go Crazy: Welcome to Go Go Crazy: a contest where talent and ambition take a backseat to speedos and desperation. Five shameless contestants with little to gain and nothing to lose take to the stage in a gay nightclub for a chance to achieve go go boy glory and a $1000 cash prize. On the judging panel are a burned out porn star, a Celine Dion “embodier,” and the raunchy nightclub owner – all…
