This song hits home for me in THE best way.

I have been a fan of @motionlessinwhite for quite awhile now. I found them when I was going through a really dark time in my life during high school. Like many other MIW fans, the album “Creatures” is my absolute favorite. The album art, the colors, the lyrics, the sound—it has definitely become a cherished album.

When I heard this part of “Afraid Of The Dark”: “and now I know, I don’t have to do this alone, a creature that found a home”, those words couldn’t have been more true. I feel like many MIW fans can relate. The timing of the song release was perfect. In this past year I have put in a lot of tough love and hard labor into my mental health. And I finally feel like I am home. Things are finally aligning.

I will forever cherish this song. Thank you, MIW 🖤💜💚

Hi, wishing everyone well during this virus crisis. I hope one day to be able to tell MIW how much their art helps me to stay strong and be myself. I recently got an unwanted divorce and then got bad health news. Catharsis and Brand New Numb especially struck a nerve with how I'm feeling. I read interview when Chris said he doesn't have a '3am friend' and I cried for him and all of us who feel alone. But music unites and heals us more than any other thing, so scream while you sing with a smile!
