Rickyl Writers’ Group Challenges!

Interested in joining a Rickyl Writers’ Group challenge? We currently have a monthly challenge and a yearly challenge (which can be found under the read more link):

February Challenge

Anything (fic/drawing/etc) with the theme of “First”- First Kiss, First Love, First Time, etc. OR Anything (fic/drawing/etc) with the theme of Spicing Up the Marriage.

NOTE: If it works with your bingo cards, feel free to use this challenge to get a square or more! These challenges can work together!

The Challenge is under “Rickyl Writers’ Group Challenges” on A03 (please check subcollections for individual challenges). When your work is complete, please add it or tag “Rickyl Writers’ Group” on A03 and “rickylwritersgroup” and “rickylwritersgroupchallenges” on Tumblr! This challenge expires on 02/29/16 at 11:59 EST.

All challenge entries should follow our rules and we expect that if you are directly using another person’s work, you ask permission (although we are happy to see podfics, fanart of stories, stories of fanart, and other collaborative works!). Only current Rickyl members can post to the challenge on A03 (the collections are moderated), but it’s super simple to join if you would like to be a part of the community! Yearly Challenge

Bingo cards- This is a year long challenge, and anyone can join at anytime.Click here to sign up. 1lostone will send you your card. This works sort of like the bingo challenges of yesteryear- you have to produce a fanwork (or fanworks) with the indicated theme to earn a ‘Bingo’- diagonally, vertically or horizontally. You can use as many or as few fanworks as you want to fill the slots and you can use chapters of longer works if you like, and there’s no minimum or maximum word count. This challenge is open to any kind of fanwork creator, including writers, artists, gifmakers, vidmakers, podficcers, and even betas, so anyone can join!

Once you have a ‘BINGO’ (whatever you consider this to be… any line, full card, etc.) you are encouraged to post your work(s) in our challenge collection, listing in the notes which BINGO spaces you’ve filled. You may fill your card through doing one fanwork per space, one fanwork that covers three spaces, or one fanwork that does the whole card! Any combination is allowed- the point is to just EMBRACE THE RICKYL.
