people really don’t get what Danny Ric is for me in this sport. he’s my guy. he’s THE guy for me. i grew up watching the sport, hating it honestly, but the one thing I loved? Daniel Ricciardo. 2011 he walked onto my screen for the first time, smiled, cracked a joke, and I said yep that’s the one. every weekend I’d ask about him. when I didn’t even watch the races anymore I’d always check online to see where he’d come. the second he left McLaren (and the grid) I stopped. I came back the second he did and now I’m here tuning in every weekend. I love Charles, but Daniel is so intrinsically linked to this sport for me that he’ll always be my number 1 and I genuinely think I might have to take a few weeks off from watching races if today was his last one because I don’t know if I can see a grid without him on it
