Did You Know: For most of history, Elsweyr was divided into sixteen kingdoms? The kingdoms lived in harmony with each other for millennia, and they assured each other's prosperity by having specific roles for each kingdom. The Thrassian Plague would end this harmony with its high mortality rate depleting the population of the kingdoms.
Out of the chaos, two kingdoms would rise, Ne Quin-al and Pa'alatiin. Ne Quin-al and Pa'alatiin would spend centuries being diametrically opposed, until the marriage of Keirgo of Anequina and Eshita of Pellitine in 2E 309 united the kingdoms into a new union, the Elsweyr Confederacy. The frameworks of a true lasting peace would be laid by Mane Rid-Thar-ri'Datta when he revealed the Riddle'Thar Epiphany in the Temple of Two-Moons Dance of Rawl'kha in 2E 311.
