My wife related it to READY PLAYER 1 if we were to have actually solved the mystery.  Much props to all those who discovered it first.

How to get Riddler’s Mind-Worm

For those of you who don’t want to use Wowhead for the guide to get this, I’ve put together a quick screenshot guide for anyone who might want to use it.

All of these have to be clicked in the correct order, so even though there are two pages in Uldum, don’t click on the second one before leaving or you’ll have to start again.

First, start in new Dalaran and go to Legerdmain Lounge.  The paper will be on a shelf almost directly across from the entryway.  You only need to click on it once.

Second, head to Duskwood.  The 2nd page is found to the right of the gateway on a bench in front of the Moonwell.

Third, head up to Mt. Hyjal and go into the Firelands raid.  Clear your way to Ragnaros, kill him and find the page on the left side of the platform.

Forth, head to Uldum and head down to the bottom of the map on the right hand side. You’ll find the next page on the small piece of land that sticks out into the ocean on the right side of the Lost City hidden in some bushes.

Fifth, head into Siege of Orgrimmar and clear it out (Note, LFR versions of this doesn’t seem to be spawning the page, best to do it on Normal to be safe) until the second Sha boss.  The page is close to the bottom left hand corner.

Sixth, go to the Caverns of Time and head into the Well of Eternity.  Clear out the entire instance until the next to last boss and you’ll find the paper on the first step of the stairs on the left.

Seventh, go to the entrance of the Shado-pan Monastery in Kun-Lai Summit, Pandaria and you’ll find the next note between the feet of the left tiger statue at the entrance.

Eighth, go back to Uldum and pick up the next paper at the feet of one of the statues to the right of Halls of Origination. This one I forgot to screenshot my map so I grabbed one from WoWhead but the map marker isn’t quite accurate. It’s right in the area though, just check the statues.

Lastly, once you’ve gotten the last page from Uldum, head to Westfall and go to the northwest part of the coast near a sunken ship close to the shore.  You’ll see a glowing box near some wreckage.  Open it up and enjoy your new mount!

This is what greeted @karidakdellanir  and myself when we followed the chain to get the angry noodle (aka riddler’s mind-worm). Here are the directions to get it, just follow along http://imgur.com/a/kfBN2 . Also be prepared for some possible griefing at the Shado pan location. Just use an invis pot or the world shrinker toy and that should solver any problems!
