“i think he was an astronomer?” cameron offered, though he probably wasn’t the best person to consult on who long dead mundanes had been. really most shadowhunters probably had no clue as they tended to dismiss mundanes as a whole despite their goal being to protect them.

     each time they’ve fallen together it’s been like this, desperate fingers running over skin as though they’re running out of time. they’re always running out of time. her hands brush over the black marks on his flesh and all his hairs stand on end, the simplest touch of her fingers setting his body alight. though, thankfully not literally. her mouth finds his, emma on her tiptoes, lips crushed to his as desperation pours from both of them like water from a fountain. his grip is so tight it’s probably leaving bruises, but all he wants is emma.
