Update for my Fairly OddParents followers:

Thank you for your patience with my Creative Life hyperfixation! The event sucked me in more than I expected. I had a lot of fun, found new artists and writers in the community, and made new friends, but the event is wrapping up and I'm really excited to get back to FOP.

Don't expect me to be as quick with FOP updates as I was with my event one-shots, which were standalone things I could write in one sitting between classes or study periods. Writing in my established high fantasy settings takes more brainpower, especially with wordy characters like Anti-Cosmo, but I've definitely had my fill of MCYT and I'm ready to switch gears.

I prewrote my MCYT 'fic updates, so those will post through October and November before I take a winter hiatus. I'm gradually posting my event submissions to Tumblr, so you'll still see them. But the event is closing out, so I'm wrapping up.

Expect the next Frayed Knots chapter ("Nymphomania") semi-soon, along with the Cosma & Fairywinkle family short bios. I'll bump the sideblog when the first one posts since it's been a while, but not the second.

Reminder: Frayed Knots is a Not Rated 'fic on AO3, but will always be somewhere in the T or light M area. There will be an alternate E-rated version of "Nymphomania" posted as a separate work. With Creative Life behind me, I feel enthusiastic that I can get those 50 Words pieces in the Dimmadome arc finished- They will hopefully also be something I can do between class changes and study sessions, but no promises... I probably won't get a Reedfilter Rules chapter up before the end of the year, but I'm okay with that.

Feeling good! Incredibly stressed, but I survived midterms... Just pulled many directions, moved out on my own, and busy juggling lots of emotions and responsibilities <3

June 2025 - Fic Schedule Update

As promised, I have a news update for my fanfic schedule. Both Chalaza and this Dog's Life arc ended up longer than I estimated, so my calendar has changed to account for that. In short:

- No changes to my Total Drama cross-posting schedule. Those continue on Thursdays until everything is copied from FFN to AO3. All of them are unrevealed works that just need to be posted each update day; pretty easy for me. - I'm wrapping up my confirmed final chapter for Chalaza today. 14 chapters have been posted and the last one is #24. 10-chapter buffer! I'm really happy with this 'fic and I'm glad I spent time making it something I love. It's honestly a favorite among all the 'fics I've written. - Fingers crossed for a Frayed Knots update on Friday the 13th. I'm still working on its buffer with the goal of finishing the pre-war chapters ASAP; this is high priority for me now that Chalaza's done. I might not get that chapter out, but that's my goal. - I paused You May Rest Now; There Are Fairies Nearby so I could put all my energy into Chalaza's buffer (and finalize its length so I could update the calendar accurately). Updates for this story will resume in a few weeks (Knots June 13th update has priority). - Once Rest Now is complete, Knots will be top priority for Friday updates. - The Candles We Light (and Should Regret) & Top 10 Hanahaki Life Hacks (#8 Will Shock You) will still be posted in 2025, but they've been pushed later in the year to account for Chalaza and Dog length- Check my visual calendar post (once I update it) if you want to know when. - I've decided to push The Dreadful Burden of Plotting Affairs (a completed fic) off to next spring semester, so it'll be posted March to May 2026. It's a 10-chapter story finished earlier this year so I'd have something pre-written to post while prioritizing studying, and by bumping it one semester, it still gets to serve its original purpose. Crazy it'll have been done for over a year by then, but I strongly prefer wrapping up my existing WIPs (Candles and Hana) before giving readers a new work to keep track of. I love it and have read it like 3 times since I finished it <3 - 2025 Tuesday updates will end on December 30th (with the Dog's Life arc finale), followed by a winter break where I rest between semesters & prep things for 2026. 'Fic updates will resume in March, Dreadful Burden will carry us through spring, and I expect Come What May to be top priority that summer, presumably followed by Knots and Origin. - Still planning to write City Lights AU "50 Words" works later this year, but these will be pushed into 2026 if I'm too busy. - Dog's Life goes on hiatus after December until further notice, and priority will be on wrapping up other WIPs I may have. We'll see how my summer pans out! Hoping for a work internship, so I expect to be busy.

tl;dr - I've been taking advantage of the time I'm not in school this year to prep buffers for when I am. It's taken a lot of work, but it's paying off and I'm really excited. My goal for the future is to only have one WIP open at a time and not start a new one, even for another fandom, until I finish it (apart from pre-existing longfics). Progress is being made!

I'll update my visual calendar post this week and will bump this post with a reblog when I'm done (Still trying to sort out Friday update plans, but all Tuesdays are locked in now). Hope you all enjoy what's coming!

Minor Fanfic Updates

- I'm slowing Life of a Loser's posting schedule down to just Wednesdays and Saturdays [my time zone] instead of every other day. An update will go out Thursday so the end note can inform readers of its schedule change, and the next one will be Saturday.

-> Update schedule was so frequent because I didn't see the point in holding out too long when the whole 'fic is already up on FFN (and I'm not familiar with best schedule for chapters that average 3k words or less, and this 'fic is summer vibes so I didn't want to take forever), but I do think the every other day schedule is overwhelming. Slowing down is smart.

- I have several Hermitcraft-themed 'fics in the anonymous Guess the Authors collection that will have authors revealed on Monday. I spoke more about what that means for subscription emails and plans HERE.

- Updated my Pinned Post to include a What's Going On? section. I added the FOP 'Fics page link, the MCYT 'Fics page link is there but currently unlinked, and I updated my Currently Updating section.

-> You can check that any time you want to see the update schedules for my current projects.

- I've been making Frayed Knots progress, but it's still slow (I have a big, personal thing happening IRL that takes lots of my attention; everything I've been updating throughout the summer is stuff I'd prepped in advance).

-> I was hoping to post consistently in June or July, but I think sometime in August/September is more likely, as I would rather have multiple chapters on hand before I post. My big thing ends early August, so I'll be able to give more attention to writing new content then.

- I've been thinking of finishing Come What May before posting more Frayed Knots. It has 6 chapters left and then I can finally wipe my hands of it after starting it in 2018. I'd love to finish it before 2025. Thank you to everyone for being patient with it!

- I recently added new headers to Dog's Life, Origin of the Pixies, and Frayed Knots that include links to their chapter-by-chapter recap info, so that's there for anyone who wants a recap guide as they go. I've prepped a more detailed recap for the next Frayed Knots chapter that recounts what's happened thus far in Act 3 since it was on hiatus a long time.

- Drafted a series page for my MCYT 'fics (similar to my 130 Series Table of Contents page). It will be up on Monday after Guess the Author is revealed. The purpose of this page:

-> To be linked in my Pinned Post for easy access to people browsing my Tumblr (as previously my only AO3 link there was my multifandom Personal Faves list)

-> Help people see what I write and direct them to series so they can customize the content they receive AO3 emails for

-> I was linking to every other series on my individual MCYT series pages, and there are a lot of them. Every time I added a new series, I had to edit every series page and it got annoying. I'm planning to redirect people to the Tumblr page for series info, which mirrors my current set-up with the 130 series (as of my recent footer update).

-> After the author reveal on Monday, I'm going to update the footers for all my MCYT 'fics (as they are currently inconsistent) to link to this page. I'm working on some more detailed descriptions for series content as well, which will also be linked there to help people decide if they're interested in reading.

- Factor It In still on hiatus for now. I was hoping to update it again in August, but my IRL busy-ness has slowed my ability to get Frayed Knots up. Factor It In is not abandoned; just paused while I work on a 'fic that's older.

-> /cry smile as I think about how Frayed Knots is only one year older than Factor despite them being posted online 6 years apart

-> I promise I have not lost interest in Factor, lol... It's my baby, but it's also my middle grade-adjacent style experiment and it's important to me that it feels a certain way, so I don't want to rush it.

-> Might finish some little WordGirl one-shots I have sitting around, though. They've been sitting with me since 2018... I've just been nervous to post them because. idk. Feelings about them.

- I have been sitting on a far-future Inside Out draft since the movie came out, and now that Inside Out 2 is out (it was lovely! Seeing it a second time today with family), I'm tempted to finish it... You might see that or maybe you won't.

-> It's about the inherent awkwardness of trying to control a body and flirt with another's emotions you know exist but will never meet, especially if you yourself are an emotion and aren't getting the physical sensations that other parts of the body are :') Anxiety and Ennui also getting dropped in my lap, my beloved...

Fairly OddParents

I'm working on a buffer for Origin of the Pixies and Frayed Knots chapters so they can alternate during the war. At the moment I'm posting content for other fandoms, but once the buffer is ready, these will roll out weekly. Hopefully by summer.

- Origin is caught up and ready for the war meeting next chapter, so we're just wrapping up Anti-Cosmo's school and relationship drama in Knots :) - We're in the era of 2016 draft chapters, so it's a combo of "Lots of stuff is already written" and "Lots of stuff needs to be updated."

Origin and Knots will update on Fridays when the time is right (alternating weeks).

The 130 Prompts wrapped up Arc 2 in December and is on hiatus.

If you missed the Arc 2 finale, check out "Grudge"- It's about Happy Peppy Gary and Crocker striking a dangerous deal and I think it's cute :)

Ideally, I'd like to finish the whole Come What May draft before I post more chapters (so we don't have more of these long lurches between chapters), and Reedfilter Rules is in a similar boat.

Origin and Knots are my priority, but once Come What May starts, I'd like to do weekly or bi-weekly updates until it's done.

WordGirl

Factor It In - I'm very happy with how the story has come out so far. It's fully outlined, but this is a "serious and fluffy" story and I've been on a "silly and angsty" streak lately, so the mood isn't there.

- I'd like to circle back to it soon, but don't want to post more chapters until I have a nice buffer. - I'd like to post again in autumn 2024 and keep up weekly updates for several months. Origin and Knots are higher priority, but I really like this story and look forward to more.

I have some WordGirl one-shot drafts I've been sitting on for months. I haven't been satisfied with them enough to post, but you might see them soon as I finalize them. There's no schedule for these, but they include:

- Local alien girl is SO brave about Rex's problems while they lie in the grass discussing love and culture - Local alien boy loses his fawn spots, comes of age, and hits up Hal Hardbargain for alien-strength deodorant - Character study for Victor Best (My horrible son) - Character study for pre-series Rex living on Hexagon (My somehow more horrible son) - Other drafts from 2018 that need polish

I so desperately want to show the world my "Hopelessly romantic life planner since he was born" x "She can't commit to anything including this" marriage of convenience superhero drama... He's oblivious... She's dying inside... He is so embarrassing... Do u understand my vision?

MCYT

- Dog's Life Session 2 will end with Chapter 30. I've finished up to Chapter 28 and just need to tweak the remaining chapters. It will then be on hiatus for a few months while I work on the Session 3 buffer and other projects.

Edit - Session 2 will actually be 37 chapters, so another month

Expecting 4 to 5 months of hiatus from regular updates with some intermission chapters a few weeks apart (Full moon arc, my beloved). I have 'fics I look forward to posting (including new multi-chapters that already have nice buffers and will post weekly), so there will be plenty of MCYT content, but it seemed wise to leave Dog's Life on break to avoid burnout. I hope you enjoy these new stories! When Dog's Life returns, it'll be with weekly updates for several months as per usual :)

My "first half of 2024" goal is to close out as many of my existing MCYT multi-chapters as I can. Thank you for your patience with multi-chapters that have slow updates- I plan to finish them soon :)

I recently completed For Sale: Bird Wings (Never Worn) with weekly updates and am on track to finish One and a Half Birds with weekly Friday updates.

After this, I would like to finish the last 2 to 3 chapters of Criminal Experience (which has always had Friday updates as well). I don't want to post the next chapter until I nail down the story's end, so there's been a delay, but I'm glad I've wrapped up other multi-chapters and I look forward to finishing this soon.

After this, I plan to post MCYT content Tuesdays and Sundays, leaving Fridays for my other fandoms.

What's on Tuesdays?

At the moment, Dog's Life for 7 more weeks. Session 2 ends with Chapter 30 on April 9th.

I've started new multi-chapters while chasing inspiration bursts, but I held back from posting them, so now I have buffers for those. I look forward to sharing them throughout 2024. Two notable ones are:

- Chalaza - Quick story about Martyn arriving in New Star Station. Bdubs voice study, some practice writing short scenes, and this is the story that helped me nail down pixel person anatomy. ^ Highlights include Bdubs trotting around with Martyn's dissolved soul in a fishbowl and regaling Etho with tales of how the Phantom Dragon carries phantom hybrids in her mouth. Also, Martyn hides under Etho's couch for 4 days. - Herobrine's Guide to the Between Dimension - A meta story about my Between lore, hybrid anatomy, and hybrid culture. No plot, but I think it's fun.

These are expected to post Tuesdays while Dog's Life is on break :)

What's on Sundays?

At the moment, nothing- I'm posting on Fridays (weekly updates to One and a Half Birds for the next several weeks).

I've also got a draft called "Scar's Castle" that's about Grian doing chores during 3rd Life... we'll see if that turns out nice.

Now that Secret Life is over, I've been able to do more worldbuilding and story planning for Neighborhood Watch AU. I plan to post some one-shots soon. Highlights include:

"Goodchild Oscar" - Oscar Goodchild's lovely parents put out a hit on his soulmate. He drags Grian around the Hearts Club Ball in his attempts to thwart it. Title's subject to change, but this is a fun one :) "They Never Found the Desert" - Local Green Life parrot can't get Red Life soulmate motivated for anything. Desperate times call for desperate measures. "Ethograms, Etho Slab, and Something About Ethics (Probably)" - Joel studies wolves... and the single(?) dad who keeps coming around with his kids.

I've also been working on the big multi-chapter for this universe, which centers around the Clocker family: Arsenic Waltz. It's fully outlined and I'm 5 chapters into the buffer, but it doesn't feel "fun" to read yet, so... Hmm.

- If anyone wants to beta read the first 10k words where Martyn arrives at the Clocker residence and meets his soulmate Cleo for the first time, lmk? Been struggling with the pacing of action vs. world lore for months and it'd be nice to get outside thoughts. - My plan was to start posting in April after Dog's Life ends, but it might need more time. With weekly updates, it should finish in December or January, but I'd like a nice buffer first. Possibly, this story will start in the summer and end in early 2025.

EDIT - I ended up killing all these darlings and moving them to a separate story, which will be released at a later time. The pacing was just not working :)

Additional multi-chapters to wrap up:

Closed Door Policy - Can't finish until Criminal Experience is done. Will post Tuesdays or Sundays as appropriate (Expecting 2 or 3 more chapters).

Dear Future Captain - Waiting for Dog's Life to catch up to this part of the timeline (Between Sessions 4 and 5?) - I like my draft for Chapter 3, but I'd rather wrap up other stories first.

With Acid In Your Eyes - Outlined and expecting 10 chapters. This is a high-tension story I was excited for, but it's on the backburner while finalizing lore, social dynamics, and plot points. It was ambitious to post this one before things were solid, but I look forward to returning when I'm ready :)

July Fic Update

✨ FOP - Very close to finishing my summer job. Hoping to work a lot on Frayed Knots soon. I've had some very busy weeks recently, but the light's at the end of the tunnel.

Dog's Life has been posting on a monthly schedule, and I would be very happy if Knots can take over its spot. We only have a few chapters until we're done with Act 3 (My outline claims we'll be done in two, but it could be 3). If we finish before I start school in late August, I'll be ecstatic. Tuesday really works better for me as a posting day, so I have high hopes.

Probably not going to get Come What May done this year, but I'll make it priority in December if I don't get it done soon. It's my main August priority if Knots stays on schedule, though.

I didn't end up going through Knots and cleaning it up like I planned, as things got complicated (i.e. touring rooms, budgeting, and making plans to move). I'd still like to. If you want to download a copy of Knots before I make edits, you can.

Edits to writing style will be similar to the style edit I showed in this post, and I'll make a change log since I know what the people want. That's not a joke; people thanked me for planning to make a change log. I got u.

Sanderson's character profile will be cross-posted to AO3 probably next weekend, unless I forget. It's on the sideblog if you want it.

I've been drawing LOTS of character profile art on paper. I've been waiting until I have a lot so I can scan them all at once, and that's coming soon. I drew Anti-Sanderson this Sunday, Smith last week, Finley the week before that, I showed the Cavatina duo sketches a while ago, and I have some art for upcoming Knots chapters and 130 Prompts too. I'm planning to do a sneak peek photo of them before I scan them; it'll be cute.

The character profiles expected after these guys already have digital art, except for Smoky who still needs a redesign. I'll sketch ideas for his redesign this Sunday, but we're making progress!

I have one post about Gary and Betty on my to-do list, and I have art I want to do so I can schedule it during the school year. As was warned in January/March, these will be tagged #ScarletPenguin as appropriate, so do with that what you will

🗡️ MCYT - The Candles We Light has gotten longer than planned and that threw off my schedule, so I expect to cut a few things I mentioned in my schedule post.

Chances are high that Unflappable is getting bumped to next year's schedule, as I'm not willing to post it at the same time I'm posting Candles. Might be able to post a one-shot for Sour Petals AU tho (Before we pivot into Dreadful Burden). You May Rest Now is on the to-do list for next year, along with Postpartum Depression vs. Starving Baby. Check the schedule post link above if you want more info on what these are.

The last Dog's Life chapter before hiatus will go up in a few weeks, and then I'm on break! Very excited. Dog is my favorite fic I've ever written and I have a ton drafted for the next dozen chapters, but ooh boy. Yes, we're still going to be in the server hub for several more chapters; I'm sitting on like 60k more hub words before we go back to the actual Life game and I don't really want to cut it. It's important...

I'm SO excited to post Dreadful Burden since it's been done since February 2025. It can be read either before or after this final Dog's Life chapter. They're meant to go together (As in, Dreadful tailors directly into this Dog chapter even if you have no other Dog context). Dreadful is optional and you can skip it if you want. There are things you'll catch in both that will make your experience fun no matter which order you read them in. I will talk more about it later, but... if you've been enjoying my portrayal of Grian in Dog's Life, I think you'll like this one. It's very introspective and that man is both a menace and a mess <3

Dog's Life will come off hiatus - probably - in June 2027. Possibly in April, but it took me longer to wrap up this arc than I thought, and I still need time to prep for next arc (Writing, art, songs, finishing timeline notes, etc.)

It's easy to write about things that happen in the server hub where I get to make the world lore, but we'll soon be on-server again and that means I have to, like... know Minecraft mechanics and pay attention to the strategies each player uses. Bleh.

The most recent Dog chapter was finished over spring break, as were the chapters that preceded it, so everyone clap for Past Me for doing that so I could focus on Candles this summer, even though the Candles buffer ran out a few chapters back. I've been working hard on weekends to avoid putting it on hiatus because I REALLY want it done soon, haha... We are gettin' close.

Might draw MCYT art for my queue too.

⭐ Other - No plans for updating my other 'fics right now, but I have some WordGirl ideas I want to draw. I keep thinking of them and laughing and I hope you think they're silly too.

Planning to write and schedule some RC9GN posts too. I figure that's what will keep my blog active during the school year - I have a lot to say - but writing and drawing takes priority.

If I end up on a Tuesday with nothing else ready to post, I'll probably cross-post Goodness of Misfit, as it's one of my only non-crossposted 'fics and I'd like to get it on AO3 even in its WIP state.

Besides wrapping up my summer job, I'm going out of town for a week to visit family, and then I'm moving to a studio apartment. I start school right after that. Schedule's a bit weird, but I've been happy with the progress.

Later, I might run polls to help me prioritize plans. These would be polls of what to prioritize within each fandom (i.e. you're not choosing between fandoms for me; you'd be letting me know which project to focus on within that fandom). Keep your eyes out if that interests you.

Those will probably post Thursdays around this time- Gives my Tuesday announcements time to breathe and then if a Friday repeat catches your eyes, you might remember there's a poll. Might make a special tag so it's easy to scroll and check past results; it'll be cute.

Thank you for the comments this year! I've gotten so many good ones in the past several months and it's very sweet, and it really helps me know what people are interested in seeing from me.

I totally expected the FOP sideblog to get lots of unfollows after posting Longwood's profile since I've not posted in a while and assumed some people had lost interest, but it gained several followers? I don't track it and only noticed on accident when I forgot to avert my eyes, but thank you for the continued interest over the years. Looking forward to posting more Fairly OddParents content soon <3 I know it's been slow, but it's still important to me.

Looking forward to my revisions where I'll make my weird fae cultures even less apologetic than they are. Freaky little bug and bat people... I need to poke them with sticks.

Now that I'm done with classes, I've spent days prepping my calendar for summer & the start of school. Not necessarily the most fun way to spend a Friday night, especially on the heels of my first work week this summer, two weeks of not being at my best health, and doing all possible laundry yesterday, but I'm glad for it now.

I scheduled myself study time throughout summer (and once school starts up), made a meticulous daily schedule of when to do my homework and class readings, got my doctor and dentist appointments on here, and scheduled time for specific writing projects too (Ex: Working on timelines on certain days vs. working on chapters).

I'm a little disappointed that I don't think I can fit animatics in here because I really wanted to, but... I don't see it happening. Candles We Light was only 8 chapters when I finished my outline for it in 2024, but now it's a guaranteed 22 minimum, so I'm gonna let my summer plans be what they're gonna be.

It's March, so I'm back from winter hiatus with the annual 'fic schedule post ✌️

General

🌸 - I've worked on a variety of things and will continue to do so. I'm prepared to post consistently for a bit, but expect slow fic progress this year. I'm in a tough post-grad program for the next few years and it's very research-, reading-, and writing-intensive. I did okay last fall, but want to do better going forward, so that's my top priority.

Aiming for one update a week. This is great and I'm proud of this; I'm just aware it draws each project out for a while and sidelines some of them. Maybe someday we'll go faster, but I'm proud of this for now.

🌸 - I plan to post fics when I can and - when possible - post on Tumblr during weeks I don't have fic updates: Think rec posts for media I like, fanart I drew, or new character profiles ( @riddledeep ).

🌸 - Tuesday will still be my main update day. I may make exceptions for some holidays (like Friday the 13th or Halloween), but Tuesday is the day I've found works best for me: it allows me the weekend to work and Monday for one last read before I post.

🌸 - I got a lot of work done behind the scenes: straightening timelines for my various projects, working out some characterizations, and outlining stories. All-in-all, I had a successful winter hiatus, but it's always fun when March comes around and I get to post what I love again.

🌸 - March marks the 10-year anniversary of when I started my first Fairly OddParents 'fic, Baby, You're a Rich Man!

2026 is also the 10-year anniversary of Origin of the Pixies, 130 Reasons Why I'm Fairy Trash, and even Frayed Knots, which was started in 2016 even though it wasn't posted until 2017. It's also Cavatina's 10-year anniversary of being my OC even though I still have yet to post his ""official debut,"" which I wrote in summer 2016 :') We'll get there one day... There's just no point in sharing new plot threads until I wrap up some existing ones.

2026 Goals

🌸 - I do not anticipate posting more than once a week. My goal is "Post fic updates on as many Tuesdays as possible, but not at the expense of IRL study or deadlines."

As mentioned, I'll try to post something else on Tuesdays if I have no fic update, such as fanart or a rec post for a 'fic, show, or webcomic I like. I'm not committing to keeping my blog active beyond this, so any other posts are a bonus. You can send me Asks if you like, but I don't expect to post much on my own. Might dig through my 3k drafts for old stuff, but only if I want to.

🌸 - I'm continuing my 2025 goal - "Finish existing multichapters before posting new ones."

I think I did a good job with this last year: I finished Chalaza and Top 10 Hanahaki Life Hacks, plus made great progress on The Candles We Light and the ongoing Dog's Life arc.

🌸 - In 2026, I'm adding a new goal: "No posting updates for more than one fic in the same fandom at the same time."

In other words, sticking to the same fic for readers. No doing what I did in spring 2024 (Tuesday updates for one fic and Friday updates for a different fic in the same fandom). If a fic is "active," it gets all the updates.

🌸 - I do not intend to participate in any contests or writing events this year, such as Hermitcraft Guess the Author or any Creative Life sequels. I had fun last year, but 2026 focuses on existing work.

That said, if there are any FOP writing events, send them my way. It would only be fair... I am an incredibly competitive person and earning achievements is more motivating to me than anything in the world. Someone be my commitment buddy.

Multichapter Works

🗡️- Dog's Life - Posts monthly until Arc 6 is complete. Will then go on hiatus as I shift my longfic attention towards Origin and Knots.

Soft goal - Dog's Life stays on hiatus until I finish posting the war arc for Origin and Knots. Subject to change, but it will definitely be on hiatus for the rest of 2026. I don't have the calendar space to fit another arc before next winter hiatus and this fic has updated nonstop for a long time.

✨ - Frayed Knots - High priority, but takes lots of time.

Next planned update: Friday March 13th. If it's not done, it's not done, and that's fine; I'll make "Kisses Full of Broken Glass" visible to guests instead. I have several other update days marked on my calendar, but I'm not going to reveal when in case I need to adjust my schedule. Goal is to finish as soon as possible while maintaining its usual quality. This section of Knots has taken a long time because I scrapped a lot of my initial plans and I've been trying to get back to where my actual drafted chapters are. Next chapter has been going well, but Knots takes more brainpower than most projects.

🗡️- The Candles We Light (and Should Regret) - 5 chapters have been posted; I'm finished with Chapter 11 (out of 16).

Chapter 6 will post March 24th. I plan to use spring break to finish the remaining chapters. Might occasionally get interrupted by Frayed Knots (This is probably unlikely since Knots is a tough fic to write), but I'm committing to no interruptions by other MCYT fics.

🗡️- The Unflappable Omniprevalence of Amatonormativity - Prequel in my Sour Petals [Hanahaki] AU.

So, uh. I went through multiple AUs and fandoms trying to write a one-shot I could post the first week of March, followed by a Knots chapter on Friday the 13th, then Dog's Life and Candles until their end. I accidentally wrote 20k words of this from nothing in two days while still getting a multi-week essay turned in, my homework done, and typing out the entire AU timeline so it wouldn't conflict with the other work posted in this AU. Then I blinked and it was 30k. Honestly, I adore it and heavily considered posting it before the 3+ months of Candles updates, but... I won't. My subconscious has very strong feelings about Sour Petals Gem & The Scotts, divorce quartet, and Xornoth, apparently #Sorry I did, however, pivot and write a short piece in this AU for my March 3rd post. I'll post this multichapter in summer; Dreadful Burden will come first if this isn't done, but this might post first instead. It's E-rated, so probably won't get a Tumblr announcement, but you can find it on AO3 in May or June.

🗡️ - The Dreadful Burden of Plotting Affairs - A 10-chapter fic I completed Feb 2025. On deck to post when I'm ready.

Will likely post in August. Possibly September depending on how many Knots updates we get. Will take 10 weeks.

✨ - Come What May - High priority, but Frayed Knots comes first. My preference is not to post any new chapters until I've finished writing it behind the scenes. Will probably post October/November; unsure.

I'm doing an externship this summer, but should have more free time to write. I anticipate that being the best time to work on this fic, especially if Candles, Unflappable, and Dreadful Burden are posting. In other words, I'll be able to write lots of chapters for this so it CAN be posted when it's all done, and I won't be racing the clock to get something out every week because other 'fics fill that role. Let's get this puppy DONE!!! It turns 8 in August.

🗡️ - You May Rest Now; There Are Fairies Nearby - Medium priority; will only post after Candles, Dreadful, and Come What May.

This is an existing fic I would love to close soon, but I won't have time to look at it this semester, so I'll work on it in summer. Come What May has priority since it's existed much longer, but this fic is loved <3 And I appreciate the nice comments it's gotten even though it's a silly crossover. Again, apologies for starting 'fics and then leaving them for a while; when I started this one, I was flying through a chapter a day and thought I'd finish before my first semester. I then moved twice, changed jobs twice, had to deal with everything involved with moving states, and left this on the side. Mah bad. It'll be easy to get back into, though.

✨ - Finishing the Dimmadome arc in my 50 Words style (City Lights AU) - Priority after Come What May.

Would be cool to finish in 2026, but I'm fine finishing in 2027. If possible, I'll try to write one during spring break, but Candles has priority.

🗡️ - Postpartum Depression vs. Starving Baby - Nearly finished, but not higher priority than my active MCYT fics or Dreadful Burden, which is already complete.

This is one of the earliest stories in the Pixels AU timeline, so it will be at the start of the AO3 series. I want to make sure it's good, informative, and doesn't feel rushed. The draft is decent, but still feels clunky and needs work. Might post in December, but more likely 2027. It takes place in spring anyway, so that wouldn't be the worst time.

✨ - Origin of the Pixies - Still on planned hiatus until Frayed Knots catches up (which will happen when this Knots arc wraps up). They will alternate chapters after that.

Will likely be on hiatus all 2026. High priority in 2027. Wish it a happy 10th birthday, tho! <3 Almost the entire next arc is written; Knots just suffers from "three entire plot arcs in the draft got pulled from the final because older me deemed this fic Too Complicated and I'm patching up the holes" syndrome.

One-Shots

My priority is closing existing multi-chapters. I may post one-shots at times I can do so without violating my "one fic per fandom at a time" goal, but they're not attached to specific calendar dates.

🗡️ - "At Your Service" - Sour Petals AU - A slice-of-life story about Scott, Pearl, and Tilly being Pearl's service dog. It's about traveling together, Pearl having a seizure, and Scott being there for her. It's based on a side mention about traveling from Unflappable and I thought it would be a nice piece to start the year with.

Will post March 3rd... Written as a one-shot, but might get posted in two chapters after revisions are done.

🗡️ - "The Jellie Jam" - Sour Petals AU - Short piece about Etho Clocker and his cat while he has a son on the way. Haven't started, but should be a good filler if I need it (Ex: I probably won't need to now that Unflappable is multichapter and pushes everything farther out, but could be a good choice around finals time).

✨ - I would also like to post two updates for 130 Reasons Why I'm Fairy Trash, as the next two should finish Poof's "Am I adopted?" arc.

I can't see myself prioritizing these above Frayed Knots and Come What May. The 130 Prompts will get more attention once I get past the difficult arc rewrite and the fic I've left hanging for years. I may be slow, but I keep trucking!

🗡️ - I would love to post for Neighborhood Watch AU as well, but I'm not committing to that at this time. I do not think I will be that fast. My priority is wrapping up existing fics, which inherently places NW at a disadvantage.

I spent some time this winter fixing all my timeline issues and writing out the entire series timeline. I also outlined several fics and reworked the personalities and backstories of some characters. Several attempts at writing a one-shot for the March 3rd update were made, but due to starting my semester, I've had to be careful with spending time on things I wasn't sure I could finish in time to post without it interfering with studying. This AU has too many moving parts that need to be aligned, so I didn't want to risk messing things up by rushing anything. Lots of work has gone into it behind the scenes. You might see the occasional one-shot this year... I'll work on it in the summer if I have time, but other things have priority.

Top Priority

If I'm able to build a stockpile of fics during winter hiatus, I might run polls to determine the order they post. I have some MCYT ideas I'd like to follow through with, but I'll be weighting FOP updates more heavily in my calendar.

✨ - "Nymphomania" (Frayed Knots) - Still in draft phase at 14k words and not close to being done, so needs to be split. E content needs to be trimmed from T version. Will post when I'm happy with it, even if that's during winter hiatus. My dream is to post this on Dec 26th. The chapter art is done and I'm really pleased with it.

Soft goal of posting all war chapters for Knots and Origin before the end of 2026. Would love to do that before fall.

✨ - "Bells On Bats' Tails" - Sled dog racing story about the Aurora Fairyalis I've been trying to write for years, focusing heavily on the relationship between Anti-Wanda and her family while Timmy is balancing a side plot of Chloe refusing to participate. I have no idea how long it will be, but I might post it in March and prioritize Come What May afterwards to wrap it up.

I reread my doc and decided to scrap a lot of it I felt was outdated writing style. I'm working on a new outline and hope it will be a short multi-chapter that won't get too out of hand.

🗡️ - Remaining Dog's Life chapters for Arc 6 - Posting once per month despite winter hiatus. Dog's Life hiatus starts after.

- I'm planning to leave Dog on hiatus until I finish the war chapters in Knots and Origin. Subject to change. - Dog's Life will likely be on hiatus for the rest of 2026, as Dreadful Burden can be posted in fall/winter right before I start my next winter hiatus. The final Dreadful Burden chapter leads directly into "Honey at Home," so it's ideal to post this before a new Dog's Life arc begins.

✨ - Blog tag updates - Swapping "Pending Hazel tag" & "Pending Dev tag" on old liveblog posts to their final forms ("Anxious Hazelnut" and "Dev Dimmadome owner of anguish" respectively).

I'd also like to add tags for character analyses and similar things. I'd love to release posts in the future with a specific tag that makes it easy to browse this multifandom & personal blog of mine, so having consistent tags & some masterlist posts will be good for that (Masterposts are good because sometimes when you add tags to old posts, they don't show up properly)

🗡️ - The Candles We Light (and Should Regret) (Silk Plays AU) - Planning to post weekly in spring. Close to finishing; needs time and brain power.

🗡️ - You May Rest Now; There Are Fairies Nearby - Striving to finish existing WIPs before posting new ones. Has more chapters posted than Closed Door, so it gets priority. Probably priority after Candles.

✨ - Re-export sideblog art (Making height charts & my Cloudlands AU banner transparent).

🗡️ - Pixels Imperfect timeline - It's very comprehensive and I'm really proud of it, but it needs touch-ups before it's ready for public view (Ex: Fact-checking the math). Idk if anyone's interested in it, but it'll be available if you are. It makes me happy. It's a good 34 pages right now and spans the Cave Game era to Hermitcraft Season 11's start. And it's color-coded!

✨ - Come What May (Cloudlands AU) - I always find it hard to come back to when I take a break, so I'd like to finish the remaining chapters ASAP and then update weekly (or bi-weekly). I expect this will be posted in summer after Bells On Bats' Tails and probably after You May Rest Now.

🗡️ - "Postpartum Depression vs. Starving Baby" (Pixels Imperfect) - I wasn't happy enough with my existing chapters to post it even though it was on my schedule. Nearly done. I'll finish and post it sometime during spring or summer. It's not very interesting or high-quality right now and I'd like it to be better since it's the earliest piece in the Pixels timeline and will be near the start of the AO3 series.

🗡️ - "Breakfast With Bdubs" & "That New Bright Star" (Pixels Imperfect) - Two 'fics that take place early in the timeline, centered around Bdubs and Scott making their way east (in line with this sketchdump). These predate Closed Door Policy and I think they're worth finishing first so I can nail early personalities down. I think they'd be useful for introducing lore slowly instead of forcing Closed Door to info-dump. Never hurts to get early lore finalized while I'm inspired.

✨ - Finishing the Dimmadome arc in my 50 Words style (City Lights AU) - Shouldn't be too difficult, but they always take longer than I expect. Will probably follow Come What May in summer/fall.

I'd love to finish these while on winter break from school so I'll have a stack of them to post regularly. Depending on how quick I get done, I might do one for Hazel, Jasmine, and Winn, or Hazel, Cosmo, and Wanda too.

💚 - Planning my posting calendar for 2026. I don't think I'll reveal exact dates this year (Gives me more flexibility to move things around), but there will be a post in March explaining plans in general. I need a calendar for me and it will take time to figure out.

🗡️ - "Petal Soft" (Sour Petals AU) - It's close to being done and inspires me; should be quick. One-shot; details to come. It's not for everyone, but I think it's sweet <3

🗡️ - Feeling Out Your Every Breath (Pixels Imperfect) - Short multichapter I started a long time ago about the Clockers making food and trying to sort out their roleplay dynamic. Good progress has been made and I think it's cute. I really like it, but may be pushed to next year if I'm tight on calendar space.

🗡️ - The Dreadful Burden of Plotting Affairs (Pixels Imperfect) - Character study about why Pixels Grian is Like That. 10 chapters, already complete. I'd like to finish my existing WIPs before I post the first chapter of this, but I don't want to post another Dog's Life arc until this is done since it's relevant to the upcoming arc finale.

💚 - Make a series of posts recommending favorite authors, fics, YouTube channels, webcomics, etc. - A few years ago I wanted to do a weekly announcement alongside fanart. I don't want to hold myself to doing that weekly, but I have favorites to share & some people have asked for recs, so I think it's time :)

Might prep a few of these and post these during weeks I don't have a fanfic chapter ready to go

🗡️ - Tweaks for Herobrine's Guide to the Between Dimension - I already added creakings to my species list & creaking hub to my map- Yay! I'd like to write a chapter on HALO structure (i.e. how the court system works) and an overview on politics. Might tweak the biology section a bit and there are some dropdown menus I should replace with a nicer format. May toss in a food web too.

🗡️ - "The Jellie Jam" (Sour Petals AU) - Short one-shot about Etho stressing over what to do with his cat now that he and Cleo are expecting. Needs to get done since I'm committed to tackling this AU as chronologically as I can. Since it's short, it will be nice to have in the buffer.

✨ - Short bios for Peri and Irep (City Lights AU) - They're very different from their Cloudlands AU counterparts.

✨ - Prepping more of my early character studies and warm-ups for Skeleton Train (Things I've been holding onto since I'm a little embarrassed to share them and a lot of them are about OC family members or niche plot points, but hey...)

Next Priority

💚 - I might add extra symbols to Dog's Life, at least in the footnotes, to indicate people's life colors. Epub and HTML downloads don't include colored text and that can affect people's read. Open to suggestions; another option is using multiple small heart symbols next to player names so readers can count even if the color doesn't show.

💚 - Nice ref sheet for Riddle (Sona) - He deserves one before school takes over my life again.

✨ - Remaining chapters for Studying the Cloudlands... I chickened out of the Anti-Fairy anatomy and intimacy descriptions for a while, but once "Nymphomania"'s up, I think I'll be ready to post it. Then there are other chapters (Food, clothes, celebrities, glossary) that need to be posted.

✨ - Longwood's profile - Art complete. I don't want these to sit too long, but they do take lots of time.

✨ - Sketches for FOP profile arts - Anti-Sanderson is next in line to get polished art. I've sketched Remy and Juandissimo. Cavatina's up next, then Anti-Coriander, Whistle, Soren, and the Crockers (Cavatina is Chapter 17, Anti-Coriander is 27; everyone between them has their art done).

✨ - Smoky redesign - Nothing big, but I want to touch him up. He needs corrected alphabet hair, I'll probably give him black pants, unsure how I feel about his shirt, I still want his hair spiky but might exaggerate it, etc. His bio art will need an update if applicable.

✨ I'm prioritizing Knots and Origin chapters over character profiles for the FOP sideblog, followed by Come What May. These are the three most important FOP things for me to focus on this spring and summer, but if I'm on track, I'll work on more profiles too.

💚 - Updating lots of author's notes.

- Cleaning & consistency. Adding AU Guide links to some works. Planning to add a link to my timeline doc to Pixels Imperfect works and links to my FOP bios to FOP works (Ex: Longwood, Iris, Anti-Saffron, Finley, and Commelina are OCs with art refs I can link) - Adding "Click here to reveal all ships [Spoilers]" dropdowns to most if not all my multi-chapter works. I added this to Dog's Life Chapter 1 in October(?) and I think it's nice to provide, speaking as a writer infamous for breaking couples up.

✨ - Additional Frayed Knots chapters - Getting close to finishing the arc, but the chapter after "Nymphomania" needs lots of attention (I scrapped a plot point that was supposed to fill this time period and I need to patch it up with better stuff).

✨ - Origin of the Pixies' war chapters - They've been nearly done for years, but waiting for Knots to catch up so I can post them together. I did look at them again recently (December) and they need revisions, but I'm happy with what's there.

🗡️ - "50 Words of Desert Duo" (Pixels Imperfect) - I feel like this is the best way to give readers an overview of my take on Grian and Scar's 3rd Life relationship, but I won't work on this until the Dimmadome arc is off my plate.

🗡️ - Closed Door Policy (Pixels Imperfect) - Early in the timeline, holding up other works, and I'm trying to close WIPs before posting new ones. I had to scrap a lot of my OG plan for this one due to conflicts with finalized lore, which is why it's taken so long.

🗡️ - The Wax We Scrape (and Burn Away) (Silk Plays AU) - Sequel to The Candles We Light; close to being done. 2 chapters.

🗡️ - Neighborhood Watch AU is on the fence for now. I'd like to post some one-shots, but we'll see how things go. Will know my plans by March. I have big plans for this AU, which means I have to think hard about what I want to post lest I contradict the lore later. I have a rough timeline with ages, but I need something nicer.

I would love to boost this higher in priority, but I'd prefer to get some old fics wrapped up & focus on my FOP fics before working on this, since the lore takes a lot of brainpower. Haven't decided what the best approach is, so I'm open to people letting me know if this is an AU they'd like me to get to sooner rather than later.

Nice to Have

🗡️ - Art for upcoming Dog's Life chapters. I've already drawn a BigB and a Grian & Honey art, but there's more to come. Nice to have my scanner back; definitely didn't expect to use my bounce sprites for as long as I have.

✨ - Anti-Sanderson's profile - Needs art and body text.

🗡️ - "Me, My Betrothed, and the Shrine to His Best Friend That Stares Through Our Bedroom Window" (Pixels Imperfect) - And other tales from Grian's arranged marriage. I've been sitting on this concept forever and I'd love to get it off my plate since Dog's Life will go on hiatus after Honey's POV chapter. Low priority.

✨ - "Nonbeliever" & "No Way Out" (130 Prompts) - Final two works in the "Poof wonders if he's adopted" arc. Struggling (Have scrapped "Nonbeliever" at least 3 times), so it needs extra attention.

When I started writing 130 Prompts, I was writing small, random scenes, but nowadays I try to make them "interesting" and "worthwhile to read," and that tends to slow me down (Ex: I have to make sure I don't write something that's going to add random red herrings to the plot for no reason). I haven't found an ideal approach, but writing You May Rest Now helped me remember I do love the world lore when I'm not stuck, so that's nice.

🗡️ - Collector's Fee (Pixels Imperfect) - Aiming to close open WIPs before starting new ones. Draft needs clean-up due to lore conflicts, but shouldn't take too long to fix. Wouldn't feel good prioritizing over most works since it features an obscure character and an OC, but I like it.

🗡️ - Herobrine's Guide to the Between Dimension - Bestiary chapters. Take lots of time, plus I need to revamp my ghast since it probably shouldn't be a bird anymore. Wouldn't feel good prioritizing this over most works, but I'd love to finish in 2026 (or early 2027) if I can. It's one of those technical, high fantasy things that I can get invested in for hours, but it's not easy to set aside those hours. If people do want me to prioritize this, I'll definitely take that into consideration.

🗡️ - "Deck the Halls" [placeholder title] (Sour Petals AU) - Short multi-chapter sequel to Top 10 Hanahaki Life Hacks depicting the Decked Out competition its prequel alluded to. Necessary before I can post more works in this AU that excite me, but I'd like to finish existing WIPs first. 🗡️ - Two notable works for Half-Hidden AU: the one where Grian and Joel fish baby Sniff from the river ("Riverborn") and the one where young Sniff and Pig steal Scar's wheelchair for a joyride ("Wheels For Thee"), which was the scene idea that inspired the AU in the first place. I think it's cute and I've been dying to share it. These are one-shots that shouldn't be too long and would be nice to have in the buffer.

🗡️ - "Kakashi Loves Sakura" (Sour Petals AU) - Scar Clocker is born. Really looking forward to this (and the rest of the AU). Might be a one-shot, might be a short multi-chapter.

🗡️ - I'd like to do some relationship studies, clip compilations, or something of the sort. Aiming to finish existing WIPs before embarking on new projects like this.

I'll probably have a highlight reel clip compilation with my analysis under a Read More. Also considering voiceovers and doodle pages... I have a clear vision of what I'd like to do in an ideal world, but who knows if I'll get there. Not me shaking Renchanting duo screaming about how they're such perfect foils for wild vs. domestic, or Tango and Grian for rules vs. chaos, or Scar and Scott for Type A & Type B & jealousy... I need to explain... ✨ - I wouldn't mind converting my Cosmo and Foop studies to this new format and finishing my Wanda one. Btw, I forgot where Wanda's "I'm Human McRealPerson" comment is again and would love to be reminded 🙏

🗡️ - I'm still sitting on some shippy Zombiewood WIPs, so you might see those throughout 2026. Not high priority, but a lot of them are short.

✨ - I don't feel good prioritizing Reedfilter Rules when Cloudlands AU has been sitting so long, so consider it on long-term hiatus. It requires a complete adjustment of my brain (since the lore is reversed from Cloudlands AU) and I'd rather be all-in on Knots and Origin until they're done. I'll get it done before I start a new longfic.

🗡️ - One of my secret long-term goals (I've been dreaming of for two years) is to do a series of short animatics to lyrics from every Dog's Life chapter moodboard song (i.e. the snippets I show in my Tumblr posts). I might use those during weeks I don't have fics to post.

I'd love to practice my art! I suspect it's not the right year for it since my main goal is wrapping up existing fics... We'll see. Might be fun to do a quick one over a 3-day weekend or something. There is one Dog's Life animatic I've been dreaming of, but it would spoil things we haven't gotten to yet. Someday <3
