Defying Expectations

Severus honestly was not entirely sure what to make of Anthea Potter. She was the spitting image of her mother, and that alone was a bit unnerving. But then she got sorted into Slytherin, of all houses. A Potter in Slytherin. He never would have dreamed it possible. But here she was, meaning she was his direct responsibility. And she wasn’t anything like what he expected. It was good that he always met with first years to get to know them a bit. Maybe now he could see what she was like.

“Miss Potter,” he greeted her as she got to his office. “Please, have a seat.” He gestured to the chair across from his own desk, pushing aside the papers he’d been reading so that he could give her his full attention. “As your Head of House, it is my job to make sure that your transition into Hogwarts goes as smoothly as possible. So, do you have any pressing questions before we begin?”
