A little yard work never hurt anyone. Well, I guess it hurts the weeds. But they shouldn't be in my yard in the first place.
And an added bonus - is this a video of me cleaning my yard or destroying a tree under my giant Ridgemont boots?

A little yard work never hurt anyone. Well, I guess it hurts the weeds. But they shouldn't be in my yard in the first place.

In Phoenix, weeds are like sleeper agents. Their seeds lay dormant, patiently waiting, and suddenly spring to life at the slightest rain.
My old Ridgemont hiking boots brought an end to that nonsense.
Then the Air Command Forces took over for the rest of the day.
Terror comes in many forms. For the bugs taking refuge in my lawn's weeds, gardening tools and my Ridgemont boots represent just that.
Can't blame them for being scared. Their world was rocked by two giants, my husband and myself.
We made short work of the overzealous overgrowth.
As we walked away content with a job well done, they were left to pick up the pieces from an unexpected attack.
For years these Ridgemont boots have been my go-to for hiking.
Strong, rugged and very capable, unfortunately, even these boots were unable to avoid natural degradation driven by time.
These boots joined my husband and I one final time for a hike on Phoenix's North Mountain today. It included a lot of climbing and uneven terrains.
Despite the wear, they handled it well. And will remain in my collection, now focused on yard work instead of the trails.
Thanks to the storm system crossing the U.S., temps in Phoenix dropped low enough for a pleasant hike.
The husband and I hit the trail, with me wearing my old Ridgemont boots.
They're getting worn and it's about time to replace them.
Buy me a new pair of hiking boots and these could be yours.
After a few weeks of heavy rain in Phoenix, it was time to weed the yard.
Just as my Ridgemont boots supported me during clean up, I expect you to clean up my boots with your tongue.
They're very dirty, much more than these before photos. I didn't have time to take after photos. But just know your tongue will be filthy when I say you are done.
The husband and I did some hiking in Prescott over the weekend.
My Ridgemont boots are getting old and wearing in areas that comprise how water proof they are. They'll need to be replaced sometime. But for now, run that tongue of yours across them, they're a bit dirty.
The husband (left) and I (right) went hiking in Tucson today.
Lots of yummy dirt for your tongue. Get licking.
