#RidhimaPandey is an 11 year old #Indian #climateactivist. In 2017 she filed a petition alleging that the Indian government was not fulfilling its part of the Paris agreement, which went to the Indian Supreme Court. It is predicted that global warming will hit the people of India especially hard. Already there has been increased flooding and deadly heatwaves that are particularly dangerous for low income people with little access to cooling and water. Ridhima also was one of the 16 young activists who filed a complaint at the United Nations, accusing more counties of failing to fulfill their climate obligations. "I don't want to suffer, because it's our right to have cleaner water, to live in a healthy environment, to have cleaner air," she said.
