     Marshmallow roared and the queen of ice didn’t hesitate to investigate what had caused her soldier’s cry. Rushing to the top of the staircase, pale hands gripped the frozen railing as she stared down at the intruder. His path was blocked by her ice monster who had his teeth and claws bared. 

     Slightly narrowing her eyes, she took on the composure of a Queen. ❝Who are you? And why have you come here?❞ she demanded in a much stronger voice than she felt.

She’s more surprised than sorry, if she’s being quite honest. Tessa was sure she’d put a glamour on before leaving the Institute; not for any particular reason, just because she found herself longing for fresh air and the memories that came associated with the Thames. Ah, she realises. The Thames! The running water has disrupted her magic, and rather than influencing this man to move around her as she walked, she’s unwittingly collided with him!
