Fernando has never kissed Lewis is the thing. Which, okay, it isn’t. A thing that is. He doesn’t care. Like, at all.

But. He has never kissed Lewis.

(There was one time when Lewis was in his ‘I don’t like men so much that I will only fuck them to show you how much I don’t like men’ moment, which was fun for Fernando but also annoying because then they couldn’t do it bare, and Lewis licked up the side of Fernando’s face, laughing, and his tongue slipped into Fernando’s mouth ever so slightly.)

(Jenson likes to say it was a kiss. Fernando gets Mark to disagree so it doesn’t look like he thinks about it. Because he doesn’t.)

“You not kissing me is stupid,” Fernando says, swaying on his feet. He blinks slowly, and then finds he has to carefully open his eyes because he had stopped halfway.

Lewis stares back at him, grinning, holding out a glass of water. “Is it?”

“Yes.” Fernando shrugs off his jacket, kicking his shoes somewhere around the room. He tries to stand up straight but the room slides to the left. Christ. He flops onto the bed.

Lewis hums, nudging him with an open palm so he’s lying on his side, tugging at his jeans. Fernando gives him a look. The world is way too gooey for that.

Lewis rolls his eyes. “You’ll be more comfy without them on, dickhead. And I don’t want to listen to you complain all day tomorrow.”

Fernando huffs. All day! He’d be able to do it way longer than that.

“I will,” Lewis says, later, when he’s tucked into bed beside Fernando, cheek pressed into the pillow. Fernando looks up at the ceiling so he doesn’t look at him. “You will?”

“Yeah,” Lewis replies, and Fernando has hated that tone since he heard it back when they were teammates and he made Lewis laugh for the first time when he demanded they switch cars. “But only if you ask me.”

Lewis stuck glow in the dark stars above their heads when they first moved in, and every time Fernando travels, he finds it hard to sleep without the faint sickly yellow light over him.

“I would rather you die.”

Lewis’s elbow brushes his, skin warm, as he dissolves into giggles next to him.
