it was so obvious that it was almost disgusting.
there you were, enjoying a nice ice cold beverage with your boyfriend on a hot day at your favorite local cafe. then, a random girl had just decided she had to come up to your table and speak to him.
you had noticed her making goo goo eyes in your direction for what you estimated was around ten minutes. she did not come up until her group of friends had noticed her stares and started hyping her up to go talk to him, how rude could they get? even in this moment, your hand was interlinked across the table because he wanted to play with your fingers.
it wasn’t until the girl had approached your table and spoke to him that he lost his focus on twiddling your fingers. the way her eyes swept over him with a more than friendly look made your body temperature noticeably rise and your heart beat quicken, and it only continued to worsen as she stood there.
her eyes didn’t once meet yours, opting to only focus on rielle. “you’re so handsome!” she had exclaimed, inching herself a little too close to the table.
this made him finally take his attention away from you, only offering her a, “thank you!”, before resuming his intricate study on the movement of your hands. he caught himself though, and added a, “i really appreciate the compliment.”
“you should ditch this person, come with me and my friends! we’ll show you a good time.” this statement made the mer’s eyes visibly widen, and he gave you a look that said ‘please help me’.
“i really don’t–”, before he could continue any further, you cut in with a sharp, “can’t you see that he’s uncomfortable?”
the girl seemed surprised that you would even utter a word to her, “what–”
“please leave.” you insisted as you intensified your glare, which seemed to do the trick. as soon as the girl ran back to rejoin her friends, you turned to rielle. “are you alright?”
“i’m fine,” he confirmed, “are you okay?”
“i could be better.” admittedly, you did not want to get snippy with that girl. today was a lovely day and spending it with rielle was all you wanted, but you can’t always predict the future. still, you would continue to enjoy what time you had with him this afternoon.
𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐞𝐥
you liked to believe that you were a reasonable person. when someone upset you, or wronged you in any way, you dealt with the issue head on with grace. you would rather them look like a fool for getting angry or frustrated with you than you be the fool yourself.
which is precisely why minajael was trying his damn best not to let even a snort or wheeze escape his body right now.
a typical picnic, a simple yet classic date idea held by many a couple. you had planned this event out for months due to your schedules not aligning in a way that suited you both, so this happened to be the only day that both of you were available.
it started out so romantic; minajael feeling the breeze flow through his shoulder length hair as you gazed at him wondering how you had bagged such a beautiful and intelligent partner, the two of you feeding each other new snacks you had never tried before, him combing through your hair with gentle fingers as you laid on his lap. it was almost too perfect. so of course a gust of wind had to go flying and blow some of your food wrappers away.
no way would you ever litter such a well maintained and nice park, so the both of you got to work rounding up the lost trash.
however, it didn’t take too long before someone noticed that your boyfriend was by himself. they had approached him just as you were returning to his side having found all the wrappers you could find. the way they gazed at him was too sultry for your liking, your pace subconsciously speeding up as you walked.
and it only got worse when you arrived at the scene. just as the perpetrator was about to put a hand on minajael’s shoulder, you grabbed his wrist and told him to back off. your boyfriend had never witnessed you react this way, you were aware of the knowledge that he knew martial arts and could take this person down in two seconds flat. yet, you still decided to defend him.
you were too cute. and in some ways, too sweet.
as soon as the person walked off, you huffed and turned away from him to cross your arms. a barely noticeable grin took over his facial features, not one of smugness. no, this was admiration. “are you alright, hayati?”
you gave him a curt nod, “just peachy.”
“no need to worry,” he whispered, taking a ginger grasp of your hand. a silent reassurance. “i’ve been yours since the start.”
he will admit, though, he really wanted to deck that guy in the face.

You’d snuck off during an Unbirthday party the moment you saw a toothy smile appear in the trees. Sure enough, a few turns away was the Cheshire catboy that you knew and loved. You’d practically thrown yourself into his arms, and he’d returned it tenfold with a kiss.
You’d assumed, of course, that it wouldn’t be an issue since it wasn’t a classroom event. However, you were wrong. Riddle had come up to you shortly afterward, screaming about indecency. You’d barely had time to pull away from the man you’d been kissing before Riddle collared you.
You turned around, attempting to find Che’nya. Instead, you just saw his smile, before even that disappeared from view. Silently, you cursed him, but you couldn’t help but giggle as you saw a pair of bunny ears appear behind Riddle’s head.
Neige Leblanche -
You were only meant to help Neige with adjusting his costume. They were running low on staff that day, and Vil had requested you come onto the shoot with him. But then, the zipper on the back of Neige’s costume had gotten stuck, and it wasn’t as if they had anyone else to assist.
You hadn’t really meant to kiss him, either. You’d just spied a beauty mark on his back and you’d acted on instinct, tracing your hand up his spine to it. He’d shivered and leaned back into you, and you’d kissed the mark. Then, Neige just seemed to react so positively that you didn’t stop. Every beauty mark you could see was kissed, before you moved onto his freckles and a line up the bumps of his spin.
You heard a slamming on the door, making you jump back. Without another moment to spare, you grabbed Neige and zipped his costume up. He opened the door quickly to reveal Vil standing before you, his arms crossed and a scowl on her beautiful face. Luckily enough for Neige, he was needed on set and could skip the lecture Vil gave you before he fixed your makeup and went back to work. Hopefully, the costume department wouldn’t notice anything amiss.
Rielle Corallia -
Rielle was visiting you at Ramshackle unannounced. You were certain that he was simply used to it being alright as the youngest prince of the Coral Sea, but it had still ticked you the wrong way. At first, at least. But he kept being so cheerful and helpful whenever he came over that you began allowing him to.
Rielle had been curious about your lipstick for a long time. One day, you agreed to let him watch you put it on. Upon dabbing the excess off, he asked if that was what you always did, as well as what the many other lipstick shades Vil had given you looked like. You, not wanting to waste so many tissues, had begun using Rielle’s face to remove the leftovers. Soon, he was covered in cartoonish lipstick marks.
A pounding rescinded throughout Ramshackle. You turned quickly, and there was Ace, glaring at you through the window next to the door. Rielle, ever the optimistic merman, quickly waved at him with a big, dopey grin on his face. You sighed, but couldn’t resist a smile. He really was the cutest…
Minajael Tealrajah -
Minajael and you had snuck away from the crowd of a royal ball. The golden light of the ballroom was dazzling, but it could be too much sometimes. The atmosphere of the still chilly garden was much better. Tucked away in a private spot, you could still hear the music playing. Minajael offered you his hand, and you took it, content to dance the night away with him.
Dancing soon turned to kissing, and kissing soon turned to more. His hands were on your hips, making you lose track of time. It was like the world was closing in around the two of you. The vines growing around you was the shelter Minajael needed from the crushing weight of nobility. He’d been forced to dance with some foreign princess early in the night, but even then, you were the only one on his mind.
You heard his guards closing in, but Minajael only smirked. Within an instant, you were lifted into his arms like a bride and carried as he ran further from the palace. The music of the ballroom faded into the chirping of crickets and gentle calls of owls in the night. You gasped, but Minajael only seemed entertained. You pecked his cheek again. He deserved it.
Rollo Flamme -
Rollo had come to visit you at Ramshackle. He hadn’t expected much, but the beat-up dorm somehow managed to go below even his small expectations. Who could live like this? Those wizards were truly despicable if they were making an angel like you live in this horrible place.
Rollo had to convince you otherwise when you defended that damned school. They didn’t deserve your kindness. None of them did, not the princes nor the peasants. It wasn’t fair that they got to see you everyday. You should be attending classes with him. You should be his. No one would ever love, no, worship you as Rollo could. There would never be another man once he’d had his way with you once.
Storm clouds slowly rolled in as Rollo’s lips trailed across your delicate collarbone. He smirked, nipping lightly at your skin. So what if that Fae prince was angry with him, jealous that someone else had you first? It was all the more proof that you were Rollo’s alone.

Two dorm names have been revealed! Marinafinne (TLM dorm?) and Dunasmina (Aladdin dorm?). We also got eye reveals for what appears to be an Ariel-inspired character and a Jasmine-inspired character.
Book 8 chapter 2 update is slated for the 27th!!

The Grim card is initially shown as a big purple rectangle made of 6 pieces 💀
xjksskwkwkw LMAO the VAs for the first years have to work together and clear various missions in order to reveal the 6th anniversary card. (1 mission clear -> one piece of the censored card peeled away!)
The games are: a 3 question quiz, irl gartic phone (the goal was to draw Ace’s VA, which he tries to convey by drawing himself and Ace doing the heart hands together), and a taste test (they have to sip from 2 cups and guess which has the high quality/2000 yen apple juice).
The quiz questions were (roughly): which of the first years is in a cultural club (Ortho!), what is the third oldest NRC dorm after Pomefiore and Heartslabyul (Diasomnia!), and what is the name of the female talking portrait (Rosaria!).
They got the apple juice question wrong and Epel offended his entire bloodline/j

This was when Rielle first got revealed alongside Minajael and absolutely zero information was given,,,
HOWEVER I had made these silly Rielle headcanons over a year ago and only got reminded of it after his official TWST release (and again, this is just me having fun) so pls be kind to me about the headcanons here 🙏 (feel free to correct me or provide any info about Rielle that you know tho, or maybe add your own headcanons👀)
Anyways, Rielle having crush on Prefect/Yuu headcanons under cut:
(I kind of wanted this to be something that isn't strictly catered around my specific OC, but if you see mentions of "Fayrouz" or "Fay-chan" feel free to ignore it💀)
The main headcanon (that I made a year ago) is that Rielle gets so embarrassed around his crush that he stops taking completely. Just straight up nonverbal
I imagine he tried to talk to her one(1) time but he stuttered so badly/had a voice crack so bad he just shut up and never tried again (Prefect never even noticed)
He'd just linger around them with a face almost as red as his hair and nod along with whatever they say (atp Prefect would just think he's straight up nonverbal because he never talks around them😭)
If I remember correctly, Minajael said some extremely backhanded (and extremely funny, let's be honest) compliment on Rielle's singing by saying it contrasts his usual noisiness😭 and I imagine he would immediately notice how the local loudmouth had suddenly shut up for whatever reason (the reason is the Prefect. Did you see how quickly he clocked Jamil's shit? Hes figuring out that Rielle has a crush on the Prefect so fast💀)

I have no idea how Mina would get Prefect's number (maybe he just asked them for it while Rielle was glaring daggers into him idk)
Also if Prefect were to give him something (and I mean literally anything) oh, he's treasuring it forever💕. Maybe even make it a family heirloom or maybe even try to put it inside the Coral Sea Museum if nobody stops him (many people will stop him)
