How they'd be in a poly relationship

one thing you'd learn very quickly is that there is absolutely no such thing as personal space anymore. rielle and minajael are both incredibly affectionate in their own ways, and once they decide you're part of their little circle, you're done for. sitting beside them somehow turns into one of them leaning against your shoulder while the other loops an arm around your waist. study sessions become cuddle sessions. movie nights become cuddle sessions. existing within a five-foot radius of them somehow becomes a cuddle session. at some point you stop questioning it.
rielle is definitely the more openly emotional one. if he's happy, you'll know. if he's excited, you'll know. if he missed you, you'll know before he's even finished crossing the room. he absolutely lights up whenever he sees you and has zero shame about immediately attaching himself to your side. he's the type to excitedly tell you about every interesting thing that happened during his day, even if it's something tiny. if he finds a cool shell, you're hearing about it. if he learns a random fact, you're hearing about it. if he sees something that reminds him of you, congratulations, you're getting dragged over there immediately.
meanwhile, minajael is a little calmer about it, but onlya little. he likes watching interactions more than initiating them sometimes, so there are moments where you'll be laughing with rielle and glance over only to find minajael smiling softly at the two of you. the scary thing is that he's incredibly observant. he notices things before you even realize they're bothering you. if you're tired, somehow there's already a blanket waiting for you. if you've had a rough day, he figures it out before you've said a word. he has a habit of quietly taking care of people he loves.
the funniest part of the relationship is that they absolutely team up against you. not maliciously though. if they discover something that makes you flustered, it's over. you compliment one of them? suddenly both of them are looking at you with matching grins (though one is more of a smirk). you try to hide your embarrassment? too late. they've already noticed. they find your reactions adorable and will absolutely exploit that knowledge.
dates are chaos in the best way possible. you can start with a perfectly normal outing and somehow end up exploring places you never intended to visit because one of the them got excited about something. half the time you end up laughing so hard your stomach hurts. the other half consists of the three of you sitting together somewhere peaceful, enjoying each other's company without needing to say much. neither of them feels pressure to constantly fill silence, which makes spending time together surprisingly comfortable.
they're also incredibly protective. not in an overbearing way, but if someone hurts your feelings, both of them immediately notice. rielle is the one openly upset on your behalf while minajael becomes suspiciously quiet. neither likes seeing you unhappy. if you're feeling insecure about something, they'll both do their best to remind you how loved you are. rielle is all enthusiastic affection and endless compliments, while minajael tends to be more subtle, showing his love through actions and little gestures. together, though, they're an unstoppable force.
and honestly, one of the sweetest things about dating them is how included they make you feel. they already share a close bond as classmates(?), but neither of them ever allows you to feel like an outsider looking in. if anything, they go out of their way to make sure you know you're an important part of their lives. whether it's inside jokes, little traditions, or simply spending time together, they always make room for you.
