what rifftide
Rifftide is a Splatoon AU I made awhile back. The basic premise is just “hey, what if they were a band?”
The character designs are on toyhouse, but I’m kinda unhappy with Slick’s icon at the moment
I had an explanation of the plot in this old google doc, I’ll just screenshot it
There was a logo design I made I’ll have to dig a little for. It was Splatoon-stylization google-translate Japanese, so it could 100% be accidentally resembling something it’s not supposed to.
Some dumb trivia things:
• Kieren is the artist of their album covers, even before he joined
• This universe is currently the only one in which Hachikō gets any semblance of memory back
• Slick has a daughter now (I haven’t picked a name for her yet)
• All of them are now adults, but I never specify how old they are because I’m lazy
• Mochi is on electric guitar, Slick is on bass guitar, Hachikō is on synth and backing tracks, Kieren primarily uses a drum machine and additional sound effects (I don’t know why the doc said Mochi was on bass)
