Ooooh please describe "you cannot do this.... " from the wip game!! I'm intrigued 👀
It’s actually something I started toying with these past couple of days so there isn’t much to it yet, hence the unhinged title. This one is a Hellcheer fic inspired by The Secrets of Moonacre. A movie, that until recently, I hadn’t seen since I was 11. I quickly realized that Robin (the male lead) has greatly shaped my taste in men. My obsession with Eddie is most likely his fault because the overlap in the venn diagram of Robin and Eddie is vast.
I haven’t edited this yet (it’s messy) but here’s what I’ve got so far
It was raining.
The father was saying words of love and comfort at the sight where her parents were lowered into the ground and all she could think about was the rain.
The mud would get on her hem. Her mother would’ve hated that.
She looked up from the new grave and a shadow caught her eye. In a corner of the cemetery where a lonely tree grew stood a boy all in black, suited to a funeral but for some strange reason she didn’t think he was there for the dead. It felt to her that he was staring at her even stranger for she did not think she knew him. He noticed her attention and a smile grew across his face stranger still for who smiles at a girl in mourning?
Ms. Kelly sniffling at her side offers her a handkerchief, Chrissy looks down and accepts it. She looks back at the Boy to find he’s no longer there. Did she imagine him?
Reigen's Date POV
By ONE
Something I get mildly annoyed about in writing (mostly in fanfics, since I haven’t encountered a published book with this), is when sign language is depicted identical to speaking. Like, commas, contractions, stuttering, etc.
When I was taught ASL in high school, we were told there was a way to write down sign, but it’s not like how you’d write a spoken English sentence. Words are typically in all caps, lack any -ing/-ed, and have a different grammatical structure.
For example: “I went to school today” would be made into something like “TODAY SCHOOL I GO TO”
Obviously, I’m not someone who’s remotely fluent in ASL, and high school classes do not give me the right to winge and criticize on behalf of those who do speak it. I just found it odd that I’ve never seen Glossing used at all in writing, and it bugged me that signs were used essentially like spoken dialogue (how does one stutter in sign language?), when there’s a uniqueness to the language that gets erased in the process.
The casual ableism I’ve encountered over my lifetime from people who get annoyed that an autistic person acts autistic in the way they don’t like, is absurdly high. There’s been a multitude of times in which people, without communicating anything to me, grow annoyed or uncomfortable with certain actions, and hold it against me or another person on the spectrum, then throw it back in our face later instead of addressing it whilst it occurs. I do not know if something upsets you unless you tell me, I cannot read minds, you cannot be upset at me for your lack of communication.
I also hate the vagueness of people who are “uncomfortable” with me, because never once do they specify what happened, just that discomfort was present. It’s akin to saying “you’re weird and I don’t like that”, because in reality, that’s basically what the statement is, albeit with another coat of paint. The amount of times I’m expected to do exactly what the disorder I have prevents me from doing is comical, especially since I do not remotely hide the fact I’m autistic. Yet, when I say I must be told things explicitly, or can’t read people/rooms, I’m told I’m “making excuses” and… not explaining some of the most well-known traits of autism. I’ll reiterate, I cannot read minds, no one can. You can’t expect me to know things you never told me. Turn around, then I’m told “oh you’re basically normal” or “oh really, I can’t even tell”. It’s almost like I’ve got the type of autism that makes socializing difficult and not the quirky kind people seem to idolize. As soon as I start getting processing errors, or explosive emotions, or stim uncontrollably, I’m just annoying, weird, or whatever adjective that wishes to be thrown around.
I don’t know what this post even was, it’s just ranting about gripes throughout my life. I’m sorry that I cannot control what my autism affects, all I can do is try and work with or around it. Not to mention the slew of other things I’m stuck with, which obviously doesn’t make stuff easier. I’ll live, I’ll meet the right people, but god does a certain genre of personality constantly clash with mine.
Smiling Scugs
Me and my friend, Miles, played a Rainworld co-op campaign [vaguely] based off Smiling Friends. I played as Charlie, and Miles as Pim. These are a few of the doodles I drew for it just for the sake of it.
We found three pups (two represented as homonculi in the last image), which were named Jason, Smormu, and Zongo. I was the one usually carrying them because I have no lag on my own computer, but realistically, Charlie would probably want nothing to do with them, let’s be honest.
Charlie was made into Gourm purely because he strikes me as the physically stronger character. He also gets winded in a few scenes in the show, so that I thought was also fitting. I did not make him that because he was fat, I will be angry if I’m accused otherwise. Pim, however, I felt fit rivulet purely because of how hyper and fast-moving he is. The giant googly eyes probably didn’t help… Some people like to headcanon him as an amphibian, so I suppose it fits with that stuff too.
Cringey comic below, Muhaha
Kid Curl
The QnA dropped yesterday and mentioned Curly being chunky as a kid. I felt compelled to draw it, but never posted it. I’m not good at drawing kids, but I tried anyway.
Yes, he’s trans. It’s most likely not canon but it lives on my heart, okay?

I guess Sunny was too good for the rat.
