From what I’ve seen, it’s really just like established connections between characters or mini plots that are either loosely related or unrelated to the “main plot” ? Usually it’s in apartment rps and it’s something dramatic like “roommate R has a thing for roommate S but roommate T wants to come between them!!1!” but I did see a fantasy one once where a subplot was like “3-5 members are secretly members of an assassin’s guild trying to infiltrate the royal court” etc. and that looked stellar!

my mom knows i write online.. but that’s pretty much the extent of it. it’s not even the connotation for me, more that i don’t think she’d approve of me “taking to strangers on the internet!!” because she doesn’t totally get it. i do ttrpgs can all that roleplay! but online it’s just writing haha – for her sake, and mine

carla! my spy mom! i adore her and i love the idea of her playing a more manipulative character! i feel like her gifs from haunting of hill house would be okay if you played it off like she played sweet at first! and after a quick look at her gif packs/hunts i think there are plenty of resources to make her work! but if you are still looking for other options: natalie dormer, famke jannsen, angelina jolie, lucy liu, or robin wright!
