'No to Austerity, Yes to Workers' Right' demo – 4 October
Only a week and a half away now is the TUC’s national demonstration in Manchester against the government’s austerity policies and its attack on workers’ rights through the Trade Union Bill.
The march and rally will be held in Manchester on Sunday 4 October and cheap transport is available from Teesside as follows:
UNISON’s coach is open to all friends of the trade union movement, whether members of Unison or not, at £5 per seat. Picking up in Hartlepool (7.30am), Middlesbrough (7.45am), Stockton (8.00am) and Darlington (8.15am). To book places, email [email protected] or phone 01429 523868 / 07813 073186.

Slightly further afield, we also aware of free transport from Bishop Auckland, Darlington and Durham, organised by UNISON County Durham Healthcare branch but open to all in the labour and trade union movement (not just UNISON members).
