       That’s not true, Dean wants to say.

               ”——You’re lying.”

       Nothing comes out of his stitched up mouth. His teeth grind together, and he turns his head; face completely void of anything—besides a rising flow of… anger. Inadequacy. But most of all disappointment. Because Dean was stupid, and a fool to think Thomas would never do such a thing.

       He was wrong. And it’s Dean’s fault for correlating that because they were blood, that they were brothers, with so much more than just trust between them to consider it normal or the same as any other pair of siblings such as them, that it meant that so called trust meant anything.

      You can’t blame him for the tug-of-war in his chest. Dean wants to plead with him; take it back—say it ain’t so; say it’s a lie—and tear him down. Rip him to pieces. Make him e a t his words. 

      Those forest green eyes of him gives him away. This is a confession. A shitty one, but a confession all the same. 

       He means it. And he looks so fucking sorry and all Dean wants to do is terrible, awful things.

             ”That so?”

      He replies sardonically, words meant to hurt. Fire lighting up beneath the trust; sharp like a switchblade knife. Sweet like sugar mixed with acid. His smile isn’t right. It’s all wrong.

            “Wow. Okay. Were they a good fuck?"
