A long silence befell the two at this point, the doctor unsure of what to say to such a thing. Even if these were words he had expected to hear at least at one point in time or another, they still stung. Still, he refused to show any emotions, even his stoic face seemed a little more somber. Finally, he managed something, tone as straight as he could keep it, even if at a few parts of his voice cracked every now and then.

New Face

Despite its supposed discreet location, people seemed to have an interesting habit of coming and going from...well, just about anywhere it seemed. Stein was already used to this sort of thing by now. Once in a while, a few new souls would come into town, but in the end they either were just too far away or they would seem scared off by the doctor. Or at the very least unnerved by him due to his own general appearance. That was fine though. The meister wasn't really one to go about talking to random strangers on a whim. Some would simply ask his help, he would answer their questions, and they'd be on their own merry way. Simple, right?

Though there did seem to be one soul that caught his attention.

He already perked up from the inside of his own mind, seeming confused before he turned to look at the other, olive green eyes showing said curiosity that he seemed to try and hide from his normally stoic face. Only a small hint was there, but still it was something nonetheless. As the newcomer came closer, he simply tilted his head, more or less looking over the new individual.

"Curious," was his only thought.

I like how she is still a child at heart. It's like she had to grow up quick, but she never really did. She still loves to play, and kick around, and no matter how old she gets, she is still young. Eva's a big ole kiddie.
