I have finally finished setting up for a lesson tomorrow. This warp had to be rethreaded but is working fine now. More wool leftovers from a little while back. Looking forward to painting and drawing again.

I’ve spent the day at @winghamwool on a weaving course 😎 The day has just flown by! I loved it 😍 I might have bought a loom 🙄 It wasn’t my fault, honest. #thelieswetellourselves The red piece was this morning’s effort; the blue and yellow was this afternoon’s. Not perfect by any means, but way better than I was expecting. It was lovely to meet @clarem1806 - a fellow knitter... and now we are fellow weavers 😊 Our loom mistress also gave me a quick lesson with a drop spindle, so I shall be digging that out again too. this project is a whoooole lot of firsts. First wide project, first time using 2 heddles, first time using a different warping sequence than hole/slot/hole/slot (trying twill!), it's my longest warp, using the thinnest yarn, using single ply wool(hoping I manage to finish it before accidentally felting it entirely) Hopefully I've not made any huge mistakes so far bc I looove this yarn and it it works it'll be a v pretty shawl/scarf 🤞🤞🤞 #weaversofinstagram #rigidheddleloom https://www.instagram.com/p/BoH3ShoB0yt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=psct3cuy024a
