Whatever they had just done, it made Mikan feel on cloud nine. She found him away from the others trying to sober up and in the heat of the moment she entangled herself in his arms. Away from prying eyes and the psychedelics of the party in the other room, Mikan leaned in and kissed Kazuichi.
She knew it was wrong. She should have asked him first. So in her dazed state, she quickly pulled away like she was terrified of getting caught. The dreamy feeling of floating that had followed her in from the party now replaced with guilt and shame.

Jowi knocked on Makoto’s door, feeling that it’d be best to enter like a normal person for once, to apologize for putting her through such a rough time with his hospital trip. He’d brought a plush of Buchimaru as an apology gift, but he was worried that she would still be upset with him.
She wasn't expecting him to be up and walking so soon. Opening the door, Makoto couldn't help the tiny grin that pulled at her lips upon seeing Jowi standing there. "You look much better now," she greeted him, arms spread to accept the plush. "I'm sorry I didn't come to visit you in the hospital when you awoke... I just..."
She awkwardly looked away from him. "Hospitals remind me too much of my parents... If that makes any sense. I was terrified I was going to lose you, too."
"I don't know. I just heard that you think less of yourself for some reason. You don't seem like you're ruined or anything to me. So I'm trying to figure out why you might think that."

19: What is your favorite slice of life anime?

I haven't watched many Slice-of-Life animes in my lifetime. Would Ouran count? I consider it more a rom-com. But one I remember enjoying a lot was Himouto! Umaru Chan. Especially with all the references to other media.
If you haven't seen it yet, it's rather short and it's hilarious! I highly recommend it.
