Hey, just asking about that gamejam, can anyone join? i'd be interested in some resources for sidescroller and rpg games, particularily unreal and unity based. would be good to see what other people make too. I've heard of other people doing like make a game in a few days challenges but never actually seen anyone doing it, always thought it sounded cool

also there’s been quite a few requests for the same kinds of games so i’ll take note! (altho i’m guessing a lot of these also don’t expect to pick up unity + unreal so it’s good to know you’re prefer that) my current list for starter engines is construct 2, rpgmaker, stencyl, renpy, gamemaker, and twine. unity and ue4 have been sitting in the back of my head as some more advanced topics and i’m not too sure yet what ppl would want out of them so i’ll see what i can scrape together! i know unreal comes with presets for a platforming sidescrollers, and i’ve watched a couple similar tutorials for unity. would 3D be a preference for both?
also to clarify! it’ll probably take place over a couple of weeks. i’m aware that ppl are busy and maybe one week is less available than another and learning + making art + creating games takes time. i’m torn tho bc ik a week is a pretty good time for a “sprint” but a lot of games i’ve made take much more time than that. i’m not sure! feedback in this area would be great.

I’m just bracing myself for the worst since that’s the theme with all these future families so far, like “Kakashi secret love child with Sakura Ayame and he doesn't know he’s the father!!!111” But hopefully he’s some random Silver-Haired anime boy to fill the manga/anime quota since every generation needs one apparently.
