Takeda was, obviously, not a stranger to this kind of situation. It just kind of came with the job, the way of life. He wasn’t panicking, but he was a bit thrown off by the blade that was pointed at him. It was huge, and from what he could see, it looked pretty complex-- had it not been in his face he would’ve been truly fascinated by it. His eyes went to its wielder, a bit late, and he put his hands together, feigning nervous fidgeting with his glove in hopes to be able to pull out his whip if he needed. He had a plan to counter this, at least long enough for him to put some distance between himself and this giant blade. “That’s one hell of a sword you got there,” he said, his tone light in contrast with the tense situation. “Before you saw me in half with that, at least tell me what your beef is with me, huh?”
