i love the moment mac realize that there is something between him and riley is a completely random moment. no one was dying or in danger they were just talk and he realizes there is something there… a moment at least.
Our Past Defines Us
The infamous claim
that our past does not define us
is a lot like religion,
in that it was curated
under weighted
concerns inflated
of what was awaited
and destined and faited.
That our mistakes
are merely accidents
so that we may forgive ourselves
of the many shelves
on which our stories dwell;
never to delve.
Too often do we rely on our past
to speak for us
when the distance between families grows shorter,
when the next opportunities
band communities
to demand words
to construct our eulogies.
Now that is quite the paradox.
To suggest our past
only defines us
when its polished
parts yet to be demolished
serve us among others
to be relished.
To suggest it doesn't define us
when our mistakes swallow us whole
turning us into trolls
grinding our souls
into coal.
Why, then, are they mistakes?
No longer accidents
cushioned by flatulence
never deemed passionless
and only mentioned to emphasize
extravagance.
Our past mistakes do define us.
They are the excuse to
experience humanity,
to fall victim to insanity,
to vanity,
and most fervently, candidly,
...shake it off.
Stand again.
And again, and again, and again.
Again because the world cannot end.
Because our human mistakes transcend
to make us godsend.
Who are you,
and your mistakes,
if they are not what define you?
What lessons did you learn?
What punishments
made your heart burst,
made you reap a curse,
made you die of thirst
to feel, to know, to be
who you are, now?
Who are you,
if not proud?

A/N: I tried out a new cadence to my writing. Lemme know if you like it! I'll practice more. :)
In episode 1x21
When Bozer is stabbed and Mac is dressing his wound, Bozer mentions Riley holding his hand, and how he didn’t want to die before kissing her
What’s funny is I just peeped that right after he says that Mac tightens his wound a little painfully lol
Yooo how did I not peep all the clues before, #macriley was always there 🥺
