I'm glad my GameCube disc posts are doing well, it's nice to know that I'm not just a weirdo that loves specific things about physical media like disc design haha
Sure, realistic games and storytelling has its place in video games but I miss when games looked uncanny and blocky.
There's something special about low poly models and design constraints powering creativity rather than being able to see the pores on the face of a character you're going to spend 90% of your time staring at the back of their head
We had a bomb threat near our home last night, it weirdly shook me how delicate everything is, if it was a few meters closer we'd have been evacuated and if it had gone wrong, homeless. Life is fragile and I'm not quite ready for a swift change like that, but I don't think anyone ever is
I thought a lot about why to come back here last night while I couldn't sleep, I think I mostly miss the time in my life where everything in the world wasn't so awful and my time online was spent having fun and looking at nice art instead of constant discourse and angry politics
I miss when things were easier, and this site reminds me of that
Got my Switch 2 on launch day and it is absolutely amazing
Shame I haven't actually played it that much as I've been super invested in Final Fantasy XVI 😅
An Introduction
Hey, my name is Riley and this post should tell you everything you need to know about me!
I am an enby, have ADHD and play a lotta games and write about them on a group ran website called UnderLevelled, and I also stream 3D Platforming and Nintendo games every Saturday on Twitch. I am a big advocate for physical media and collect games and other paraphernalia related to them which I post on my other blog.
I'll mostly be posting about games, anime and TV shows I watch here, I used to use tumblr to vent as well but I believe I'm past that angsty point in my life and go to therapy instead so that element is dead and gone.
I like to mess with graphical design and work as an enterprise level network and project management (it's not as flashy as it sounds).

I'm baaaaaaack
I've been many names here, I left a few years ago when the site got terrible, used Twitter for nearly a decade and then old muskrat destroyed it, bluesky didn't click and I just wanted a place to find cool art of things I love and I miss seeing it so I'm back to see if I can rebuild what I had before but even better! Plus I know how to operate sites better now :D
