              There are brief, selective moments, in which Decim’s attention diverts from the duo present as his most recent task to judge, to his assistant. He has become better at this, surely, translating certain layers of complexity through the increasingly recognizable information sketched over her expressions. It does not make his surprise from the revelations any less frequent.                                                                       ❝             You believe he is lying? ❞            More statement than question, but it is a request for answers nonetheless. The unspoken ‘why’ that fills up the space between each word.

These tunnels reminded him an awful lot of Midgar. The disgusting sewers that he was all too familiar with after being dumped into them on a few occasions. Especially after dealing with a certain Don. He paused for a moment when he heard footsteps that weren’t his own. Occasionally, he would pass by a tunnel that branched away, leading to a small civilized area. Occasionally he would even hear groans, no doubt the mutants that were rumored to be down here.

Deep blue eyes shifted, form turning with the whip of his head and golden locks fluttering about softly with the brisk movement. And there he saw a girl. Raising a brow slightly, he regarded her before turning his form slowly to look upon her.

“You don’t look like the things I encountered earlier. What’re you doing down here?”
