I don’t usually do promo posts when I write an SCP, but I’m super proud of this one - written in 24 hours for the writing jam this weekend, I went all-out and learned how to use Audacity for sound editing so I could make audio for it. That seems to have paid off - a bunch of people have told me it’s their favourite article of the whole jam or of day 3.

What changed?

Near enough 18 months ago I wrote a post suggesting Belle was being very badly abused by Rumple and she should leave him.

I tagged it with Belle and Rumple.

No one - not a single person - batted an eyelid. No comment, no vitriolic abuse, no threats of beating, pain or imprisonment.

I did the same thing a little while after, and a little while after that. And still - no one commented.

So why is it, when I do the same thing now, people can’t respond quick enough to tell me I am the son of Satan?

(My theory is they realise I am right and that they are wrong but are too embarrassed to admit that so instead they lash out to divert attention from the lack of facts in their argument. But that’s just my theory.)
