it should be illegal, you think. too break up with someone over text. especially in the middle of the night.
2:23 AM, you remember it vividly being one of the worst nights of your life.
i mean what the fuck? a 3 whole years down the drain, and it's ended with a 2 line text message from your now ex boyfriend.
you throw your phone across the room, leaving the blank minded boy across the country too think for himself what your thoughts were. and the truth was, you had none. it wasn't the timing that threw you off, not even that it happened at all. for once, you saw this coming. rin's usual distance was a bit more noticeable when you tried too hug him a he jerked away from you so violently you'd thought you'd he'd seen a ghost. the opposite was true.
rin was falling out of love with you.
rin had fallen out of love with you.
you couldn't bear to respond so instead you blocked his number and deleted the highlight you had of him from your account.
this was it, you life was over, all because of some stupid boy who couldn't even bother to tell you in person that he no longer harbored the same feelings you had for him.
you didn't bother checking up on his whereabouts after that, instead you focused on healing, trying too recover from pouring your soul into a man who was only half interested in you. in the long run you hoped things would work themselves out. he stayed in paris after his big game, the one he didn't bother too bring you on like many of the other players did with their significant others.
none of that mattered though, it had been almost a year since you broke up with him and things were definitely looking up. you were happy and almost healed and even considering a special someone too looked forward too meeting. that was untill of course your ex-boyfriend showed up at the ice cream place you were working at, arms linked with another girl in clothes you know you'd never be able too afford, looking happier than ever.
happier than he'd ever been with you.
you couldn't do this, you felt like you were gonna throw up. you called you coworker over too cover for you, sprinting too the bathrooms and rubbing your arms as you tried not to cry. whhy was he even here? the last time you'd been with him rin hardly even liked sweets much less ice cream, but then again that was almost a year ago and well. i guess things change.
people change. for better or for worse. oh god, you held in your sobs and muffled them with your shirt. you seriously couldn't do this right now, if felt like the air was closing in around you making it harder and harder to breathe. he hated you and you hated him, oh rin, why did he have to break up with you?
