anyway, this is my confession. If we take canon seriously from season 6 on, I don't think Mulder and Scully should get or stay together. I think think Mulder should pick himself up and move on. Go their separate ways after the brain surgery recovery or after he found out what happened to Samantha. Give himself space to process. Either that or they simply should have broken up the team and moved on after the FTF movie, if that hadn't gotten them in the same place together emotionally.

They absolutely never should have had a kid together.

All things wasn't a very good episode and getting them together at that point in the show was a mistake. Both too early and much too late.

I'm still into seeing them together as they were in the first 3 to 5 seasons, but that's it.
