Cartier rings? I seem to have forgotten those. If you don't mind can you tell me which chapter those were shown in? Much thanks!

Hello, Dear Anon and sorry for late reply! (lately it’s my usual greeting, damn, works sucks ;_;)

Cartier rings appeared on some of Old Xian’s tianshan art. In first case He Tian has a ring on his right middle hand (don’t remember well, but in China it has some romantic meaning), while Mo has own as a necklace. The details on that ring are obvious, it’s famous and really expensive cartier couple rings:

Next ones are with he Tian having a ring on a chain, and here we can’t be 100% sure if these ones are the same as previous.. but we can assume these are the same couple rings:

In other arts He Tian usually is portrayed with many rings on his fingers, so there is possibility that one of these also is famous cartier ring.

Of course these are mostly headcanons, but author draws often this detail for some reason. Very likely it will be important issue in their future relationship. 

And on the “picnic” He Tian wears a ring on a chain or something similar, and it makes readers think if this is just a simple accessory or important thing for next chapters.

Is this just a special ch? Just doesn't feel to me like the normal update. And the ring ht wearing around his neck, isn't that the one mgs was wearing in the official illustration where ht is holding his face

Hello, Dear Anon! It’s normal chapter, one of many which we saw in comic through the years, where bois are just bois, being dumb together. It’s maybe a beginning to some Picnic Arc (it sounds majestic, lol).

About ring - no, I think it’s just a random accessory. Maybe my memory is not good, but I think it’s common for characters to wear some items like that (ZZX once was wearing a key, I think?) 

From official tianshan art we received clear suggestions, that couple rings -  specific cartier rings - are really important element in their relationship and I doubt He Tian would wear those out of nowhere and in the end of next chapter he will say to Mo “look I have a gift for you, look I am wearing it too!”...

....wait, that sounds like He Tian. I am not sure anymore (lol). 

But also OX is really carefull to show that characteristic for cartier’s rings decoration detail, so maybe it would be visible also on that one panel in the comic.

Tianshan have the same ring, but he tian is wearing it on his left hand and mo is wearing it on his right hand..what does it mean, and on the middle finger also..

Hello Dear Anon and oh, good eye! I saw the rings on He Tian’s and Mo’s fingers, but didn’t think about it at all… after looking at picture again we really could assume these are famous Tianshan Couple Rings.

Me, trying to be smart: hm, on which hand you are wearing wedding ring in China, I dunno? I know that custom is popular and commonly used in almost whole world, but I think some details depends from a local tradition.In my place we are wearing wedding ring (women often with engagement ring) on right ring finger, but it depends from personal preferences: because of that I remember seeing people wearing these on their left hand and got confused… Also I read that in my place there is a custom to wear engagement ring on ring finger of left hand before wedding so..

He Tian wears it on his left hand, bc this is an engagement ring for him: still waiting for their one big wedding, which he dreams all the time, while Mo doesn’t care about He Tian’s stupid ideas and already wears it as “husband”, hahahaha…

Me, who also draw: oh, OX just wanted to make the rings more visible or made a mistake without thinking much about it, LOL.

We all talk about hand in one sec before grabbing Mo’s waist, adorable key-chain and He Tian pointing at Mo’s new studs, and.. I read too much into details as always.. but on He Tian’s neck there is a necklace and it could be again, small ring which we know from previous illustration...

What if   (now fasten your seatbelts, wild imagination starts here) this is a ring which Mo gave to He Tian as return gift?

I think, basing on his behaviour, Mo is obsessed with idea of “not owning”.  So in order to “pay back” for earrings he found cheap, simple ring. Imagine him searching for this jewelery, buying in the shop and trying to give He Tian this present. In big, constant gay panic + momato mode ofc. 

But the ring happen to be too small (maybe Mo was checking the size on his own finger or quessed it wrong, it’s a not important detail here) but He Tian, now The Happiest Man In The World, found a solution to wear this without trying to put on his fingers.

OR Mo was so embarassed after all that he  forbad him to wear this in public, so He Tian decided to put ring on necklace and hide under clothes. But He Tian is a person who will take this necklace out for any good occasion. 

AND when some time later He Tian bought cartier couple rings for them, Mo decided to wear his cartier ring in the same way how He Tian is wearing his jewelery gift from Mo, giving their relationship whole new meaning..

I am sorry, this is happening when I start to think about OX’s official illustration TO MUCH.
