Ring shadow movement test: winter solstice-spring equinox
My dad just sent me this. Somebody please translate. It the most incredible thing I have ever seen. I am still having trouble believing this.
writ in water: Saturn, rings and shadows, photographed by Cassini, 9th December 2012.
Showing one of Cassini's distinctive glitch modes; here, a curiously organic series of rings and arcs.

glissando: Atlas, Saturn, and rings, photographed by Cassini, 29th July 2005.
My understanding is that here we see Atlas and Saturn's rings in the foreground, with the illuminated hemisphere of Saturn below marked by the ring shadows in the background. With Atlas held at centre frame, as Cassini moves closer to Saturn, the planet below the rings moves out of frame. Noted cassiniologist Pappubahry may be able to provide a more technical understanding.
