Did you know that Plo Koon possiblely had male Padawain during early days of the Clone wars?
In Legend, there is book The Clone Wars: Decide Your Destiny: Dooku's Secret Army which is decide your destiny for children.(children, really? I still can't believe the Clone wars were meant to be for children when the story is from literally war.)
Im this book, there was a story of Ringoot and his friend.
They were Padawans in early days of the Clone wars.
But somehow only friend was assigned under Plo Koon as his apprentice.
Ringoot asked his friend to talk to Yoda to let them go together.
If you refuse his request, friend went to Dorin alone, and Ringoot got jealous and followed him but got kidnapped by Ventress.
Short time after, friend(now as Padawan commander under Plo) also got captured with Alpha 58.
Dooku forced Padawans to fight each other, or the friend will have to fight with Ventress.
If friend chooses Ventress, Ringoot begged to fight with him but only to see his friend got killed by Sith in front of him.
If friend chooses Ringoot, he requested Dooku to let his friend and Alpha 58 to be free if Ringoot wins. And readied to let Ringoot to win and sacrifice his life for two friend.
Is that why you were Plo's Padawan...?
You're brave and sacrificial mind only to be lead you to death...?
If this is true canon, I wonder how did Plo react to his Padawan's sacrifice...

If you choose to ask Yoda about Ringoot's assignment, Master will answer that he will be in danger in missions. Well you were right Master...
And if you keep asking, Yoda will reconsider about your assignment because you're not ready either.
