It wasn’t often that Sheik came to approach the young hero ( though it was not as if they were any older themself ) and the notion was perhaps unfamiliar and strange. Yet even the guide needed a moment of companionship— especially after many long years of dwelling in one’s own thoughts. A moment’s rest from fates and hiding.
“I came to check on you though you seem quite well— And there’s much I can say about stargazing. Though I’m sure you wouldn’t want to hear me monologue about that on top of everything else I say.” There was a breathless laugh but the minstrel soon took a seat next to Link, vermillion gaze focused on the glittering stars among inky black skies.
Though truly, what brought them out here? Did they truly need this companionship, no matter how brief?
“I enjoy stargazing,” Sheik murmured, their soft voice clear in the still quiet of the night. “It helps ebb the exhaustion and worry away. And it brings me to think of fonder times.”
