Having time off was rare, but when it happened, the girls tended to make the most of it. Today’s outing was a trip to Akibastar’s zoo. Their group consisted of the 75th and 77th generations, though somewhere along the line they’d split up. Sonata and Suzuko had gone to see the aquatic creatures, while Makoto, Yuka and Orine had gone to look at the birds. Kanata and Mariko had left almost as soon as they’d entered to go see the big cats, leaving Nagisa and Chieri alone.
“Hey, Chieri, do you think we can go see the pandas?”
“Sure. Do you have a map?”
“I thought you had one!” Nagisa wasn’t one for planning things out, so she had relied on Chieri to have a map but... Apparently not.
For a while, they’d walked around, mapless, attempting to find the pandas, taking a few photos and pointing things out to one another along the way. Nagisa brought a hat, shaped like a panda, and brought one for Chieri as well (though she seemed less enthusiastic about the hat than the new Acchan). After everyone met up for lunch (with Chieri and Nagisa running late, following the not so convenient signage), they split up again. This time, the aces of the 77th generation found the pandas (thank to Suzuko giving them a map).
For a while, they sat, watching the large creatures. Again, they took a lot of photos, posing with the pandas and taking photos of the creatures playing happily. The duo also watched a show, where the keepers came to feed them and explained about their habitat, their eating habits and the livelihoods of pandas.
“I really love pandas! Don’t you think they’re super cute?”
Chieri nodded. “They look really fluffy.”
“I want one as a pet!” Chieri laughed in response.
After the show was over, they headed back towards the gift shop area. Nagisa ended up with a panda plush toy, and Chieri got some candy, for the trip home. All in all, a great day out.
“Hey, Nagisa?”
“Whats up?”
“I had fun today. How about we come see the pandas again sometime?”
Nagisa nodding, beaming. “Sounds like a plan!”
