Hahaha I can only imagine! I had a friend last year who was dating a second year. The 2nd year just learned reproductive anatomy and she was directing him using scientific terminology. The look on his FACE when he told me that story...priceless ;)

As a child, my favorite food was spaghetti. I loved it, and I still do. Not my favorite anymore, but still fun.

The one song that would describe my life would have to be "Between the Concrete and Clouds" by Kevin Devine. The internal battles that he describes in that song are much the same as what I have gone through.

There's no real reason, but I did need a little change. I like it, though. I'm usually not somebody to become attached to a certain appearance, so I'm okay with changing it. That said, it's time for a new start. There are things I'm taking care of in my life, and I needed a somewhat symbolic change.

Am I close with my family? Now in med school, I think things are a lot better. My nuclear family often swung between incredibly close to cold war status. But that's families. They drive you crazy, but you can't live without them. I'm very close with my sister; always have been. Over the past two years, I've been learning how to be honest and close with my parents, which is tricky to navigate as an adult child. :)

Top 5 ways to stay up while studying?

take a dance break in the living room, sing, black coffee, chew licorice gum, keep the air conditioning on (any warm room is an automatic bedroom to me)

I have a M.Sc. in Biodiversity & Conservation. My Ph.D. research is on the nesting and reproductive ecology of freshwater turtles :D

Sounds interesting :) . Turtles scare me to death though (one of those irrational phobia).

MD/PhD candidate. Thesis in neuropharmacology

I've always tried to stay away from everyting neurology related (I know the very basics, you know neurons/synapse stuffs), I like "simpler" systems better, but I have a few neurologist friends who keep trying to teach me about it every chance they get :) .
