So like, my background for him is just... that he's an eldritch being that usually wanders around universes and such, before taking interest in the particular world of twisted wonderland where magic exists (much like a human finding an ant colony and watching over the ants do their work). He observes the students and decides to find the "average" of all their personalities and appearances, making him the most "average" student at the school. Those eye markings may go... but they kinda grew on me so idk
No magic can be sensed from him, only an otherworldly aura that the other students chalk up to just him looking threatening because of his emotionless face.
Kinda going for more space-y/the unknown aesthetic/vibes for him. Being a literal god, he doesn't know the "intricacies" of being human, and mostly just copies the actions of others. He learns from humans and tries to mimic them. He'll almost always go for the most common or average response to anything. He finds himself liking grim a lot because he's never seen a creature so small and yet destructive, which is interesting to him

Like, NRC gives a boy group performance the likes of which Twisted Wonderland have never seen before and RSA has...... a kindergarten teacher and his kids performing onstage for a school program where it becomes increasingly obvious that they had no time to practice.

years ago, when i saw the twisted wonderland trailer on the youtube.com, i remember seeing jamil viper and immediately getting drawn to him. i mean, his design, his voice... the "innocent, all smiles boss + competent and smart (bonus points if traitorous) assistant" trope is a banger... the scarabia aesthetic is just my absolute favorite...

Bonus: now that i recently got into playing twisted wonderland, i got two leveled jamil cards (which is one more than all my other characters) (ik two isnt a lot but im still fairly new pls dont bully)
Another bonus: i remember during the main story, jamil's voice immediately changed from the usual smooth and buttery to like, extremely panicked and irritated because of something kalim said (obviously) and that made my head hurt from laughing so much

Back when I wasn't playing twst and only randomly heard of news about it here and there, i heard that neige leblanche aka snow white expy would make an appearance in the story. I was like "ok cool since the villains of the films are being 'humanized' and portrayed in a more positive way (i mean, they're literally who you meet and become friends with in nrc), then surely the protagonists in the films will also be more human and have very many flaws, right ?!?!?!"
Nope....?? He's apparently just perfect, I guess..... Cool....... He's a flat character; simple, one-dimensional. He's perfect, inside and out; animals flock to his side; he's the number 1 model or actor or whatever; he donates his money to charity; he takes care of and lives with the dwarves. He's a good guy, through and through. If there was a heaven, bro has booked a one-way ticket there and no way the devil (heh de-vil) could ever get to him.
And now, there's nothing wrong with that because he is the perfect foil to Vil and his portrayal is faithful to the original "Snow White" film. The evil queen hated on snow white simply because she possessed the epithet of "the fairest of them all." Not like it's her fault for being pretty?? Actually a load of big ol' bollocks.
So yeah, on one hand, my one expectation about the story was dashed but on the other hand, it's a pretty good modern adaptation of the old story. But also the fact that this book got me in a chokehold is crazy. I wasnt expecting to be so into it. Maybe the hard-ass twistunes got to me (book 5 chapter 35...... i can still see all the goods and misses, they haunt me........)
With that said, Chenya is a weird case... he's not a bad guy, pretty far from it since he gave clues on what could be the cause behind riddle's temperament and even pointed the four-man idiot crew led by yuu to trey. He's pretty,,, chaotic good just because he speaks in riddles (holy shit riddle ???? From disney: twisted wonderland ???) and likes to rile up nrc students by proclaiming he's from rsa. Nothing too harmful though (i still can't get over the fact that leona and ruggie tried to injure the diasomnia students by instigating a stampede wtf ???? Could there have been magicless people there ??? What if they idk, died ???? Am I remembering correctly ????? 100 counts of attempted murder to savanaclaw ?????)
I guess the lesson for today is that,,,,,, the twst characters are just based off the original characters from the films and trying to define them by placing them into categories of "good" or "bad" is a fruitless task. What matters is that they were portrayed faithfully to their original counterparts. All in all though, they've been mellowed down in terms of flaws and negative traits to be more marketable more befitting of highschool students and not actual movie villains. They have committed actual crimes but uh, we need them for the plot so they can't go to jail... So yeah, we love em for who they are, the little shits that they are.
(BTW Im not a neige hater OR a vil fan, im just,,,,,, very conflicted and very invested into book 5 because i was spoiled the least about it and i'm trying to understand the story as much as my brain can comprehend)
