Like most things that make a huge impact on the world modern combat sports exist thanks to #AMERICA . Well actually #SOUTHAMERICA and more specifically #BRASIL and its Christ Guarded City #RIODIJANEIRO. The city has erected a first a plaza honoring all of its Martial Arts Pioneers in all of the many many martial arts styles practiced there Jiujitsu, Capoeira, Luta Livre, Judo, chute boxe, boxes. One of the things that was most amazing about this acknowledgement is that Brasilian pioneers of all backgrounds and of all colors are acknowledge in this tribute. Know your roots without Brasilian hustle there is no @ufc. Or modern day MMA. Without Brasilian jiujitsu there is no reason for Flograppling or ADCC. I know the internet would have you think otherwise all the best athletes are all here and maybe the present athletes are, but , know your roots and keep in mind the pioneers fought without rules, without weight classes and without time limits. And because of what those warriors did athletes today can live a life off of seminars, instructional, and competitions with out extreme violence or make a real living fighting.
