It's been a very hectic and stressful few days, but tonight I am going to dim the lights, light a fire and have a little cheese tasting (a.k.a cheese and crackers for dinner) with a large glass of Rioja Reserva. The mellow rounded flavour of aged Rioja pairs really well with cheese, as I discovered a lifetime ago when I used to work at Wine magazine.
