The flower shop wasn’t typically busy. Castiel would usually recieve customers looking to impress someone or congratulate a loved one. Other than that, he didn’t deal with too many people. He liked that part of his job. Simply taking care of the flowers and patiently waiting till another person walked it. That wasn’t to say that he didn’t like helping his costumers. He enjoyed that aspect of his job as well. Afterall, helping someone express love and appreciation was always nice.
Most of Castiel’s costumers we’re husbands, mothers and others of the sort. It was rare for anyone young to walk in. Yes, he had children with their mothers, but he had never really had any high school or college kids come in. Which is why he was caught a bit off guard when one did walk in.
He was replacing flowers in the rose section when he heard the jingle of the door’s bell. Castiel looked over, roses still in hand, at the young man who walked in. He couldn’t of been more than twenty-two or so. The kid appeared to be a college kid. At least that’s what Cas assumed. Especially with the rainbow jacket and all. However, a customer was a customer and he wasn’t about to complain.
“I’ll...be with you in just a moment, Sir.”
He finished placing the roses where the belonged and moved over to the young man. “Hello, sorry about that. Roses are...quiet popular. Uh, how can I...help you?”
