“And, once again, I’m fucking telling you that you can’t run away, dipshit.”
Tech Boy sneers this as he comes out of seemingly nowhere, eyes narrowed in his annoyance. “Try as you might, we’re always going to find you now. We’ve got you down on lock and key, kid. Can’t back out now that you’re in, you got it? Do we have a fucking understanding? Or are you dumber than what I originally thought?”
❝ wait! do not be so hasty. ❞ Achilles exclaimed. He sorry about the lame pun he made earlier. Just don't eat the cupcake!
“That was a terrible pun and so there must be punishment..” Nix was mostly joking at the very least. So she took a fork and took just a little frosting off the top.
Achilles: Tension
immortal-kosmos: Maybe a scenario with Achilles being summoned to Chaldea and having to face both Hektor and Penthesilea in day to day life??
A/N: Poor carrot top lmao
Achilles:
- Achilles trusts and admires his master beyond a doubt. To him, they’re a trusted companion and ally, one he has no problem trusting his back to. However... why the hell did they have to summon those two?!
- When Achilles first met Hektor again, he was shocked, offended- and damn near ready to kill him. The last time they met was during the Trojan war, when Achilles killed Hektor for the murder of his best friend and lover, Patroclus. Even though that was years ago, Achilles has a bad habit of keeping old grudges. Hektor was the reason why Achilles lost the person he loved, why he went on a bloody rampage- and eventually, why he was killed.
- He knows that he has to at least not kill Hektor, out of respect for his master, but by the gods is it hard. He can find absolutely no forgiveness within himself, even though Hektor was only doing his duty as a Trojan warrior. So, instead of seeking him out, Achilles does his very best to avoid him. It isn’t easy, and they still run into each other in the halls of Chaldea- but at least then Achilles can give stony silence and go on his way, rather than attempt a murder.
- Achilles still doubts himself with regards to his grudge towards Hektor- after all, he knows full well that Hektor had no particular malice towards him or Patroclus. He knows that, but he has no intention to forgive Hektor, or to make amends. He accepts that they’re likely fated to mutually hate each other.
- Penthesilea is a different story, and is far more one-sided.
- For one thing, Achilles isn’t entirely sure why Penthesilea hates him to such a degree. From his perspective, the two of them fought after he killed Hektor. After he was able to bring her down from her horse and deal the killing blow, her helmet slipped from her face. He had the gut reaction to call her ‘beautiful’, and she died shortly after.
- He knew it was likely for her to bear a grudge, especially since he was the one to kill her. However, Achilles was shocked when he saw the degree to which she hated him. For someone to despise him to the point where they threw away their own sanity and attempt to murder him on sight- it was like his own grudge against Hektor, but to a far more severe degree.
- Achilles bore no particular ill will towards her, but after he was summoned to Chaldea and she immediately attempted to rip out his throat with her teeth- his opinion changed quite a bit.
- Their master compromised by placing a command seal on Penthesilea that would force her to not attack Achilles- it was a harsh measure, but the only one that would work, as she would completely lose her sanity upon seeing him.
- At one point, Achilles asked his master why Penthesilea hated him to such a degree, and received the answer that she was humiliated by him in battle just before death. That, of course, made him even more confused than before- they had a fair fight, hadn’t they? And it wasn’t like he had used any underhanded tactics.
- Achilles simply doesn’t understand that his words, though innocent to him, were deeply insulting to a warrior such as Penthesilea. However, it isn’t like they have a chance to talk it out- and after all, she would make a good sparring partner. Maybe he could convince his master to set something up...
