I have very upsetting news

My dog passed away today in my arms, though we only had a week with her, it was the best time of my life. She had a week of happiness and the chance to realize the world was not a cuel place after all. Though it hurts I am happy she is no longer in pain. For all of my followers who have pets, could you hug your pet and give them a little extra love for me? Thanks.

There's nothing quite like making an impromptu visit to your birth town for a funeral. Especially when it's a nice, gentle rain the entire way from Tuscaloosa to Hermitage. Very peaceful. Very somber. I may end up writing some poetry this evening before sleeping. We'll see how it goes.

There is a cat next door that is crying because the owner won't let it inside. It is so painful to hear. I miss you so much Bobbi.
