I read a Murakami short story called “A perfect day for kangaroos” to my sweet boyfriend about a couple who paid a visit to the baby kangaroo at the zoo, and he enjoyed it a lot and liked me reading to him and the voices I make.

I remember laying in a meadow together when we first started dating and having to look off to the side and avoid eye contact when he read me Brautigan’s “I was trying to describe you to someone” because my heart had severely melted and I didn’t want him to notice! At that time, I had already liked him a lot and it was so sweet and romantically unmatched that he had picked the one that I wished someone I like would read me someday ♡
