i still can't believe vent's gone. its still there, but it feels... empty. like coming back to an uncomfortably quiet home after a few days away from it. clearly, it's lived in, and yet...

So, the app is dying.

That sucks. What sucks more is that, since the app is throwing out constant 502 errors, nobody can get in contact with their mutuals to share other social media or contact info.

That's what this blog is for!

Send in an ask with your old vent username and how to find you now. Please use caution with what you share; we won't publish an ask that contains, say, a phone number, but you can, for example, send in your Discord name.

Please also feel free to send in canon calls, promos for Discord servers, eulogies for the app, whatever you like!

vent isn't loading and might be dead forever even before it was supposed to shut down so :'') guess i'm on here and spacehey now... might make a twitter too but we'll see, i'm a little scared and overwhelmed by that place but if that's where most of my old muts are then i'll do it. i'll make this acc look pretty later, for now i gotta get ready for the day (btw i'm .dearie on spacehey so add me there too if you're from vent and you haven't!! 🥺)

well since vent is dying apparently, if any of my muts are on here, I was khajiit! was gonna make a post today linking my tumblr and twitter but apparently the app is tanking today :(

Vent app I've used since 2015 shut down service last month and I didn't realize how much I still needed it. Even though my life has changed (and improved) dramatically since I started on that app and I was using it a lot less in recent times, I now find myself in desperate need of a new outlet and none of the suggested sites/apps I've tried to replace it with are cutting it.

So I guess I'm using Tumblr to vent now because at least this is a format I've used for a really long time even though I rarely post anything of my own here. Most of my vent posts will be private since I'm going for more of an online journal kinda vibe. But just in case I forget to set a vent post to private, that's what's going on lol. Might eventually make a separate venting blog but this is okay for now.

R.I.P Vent,

A good site that got in the hands of someone so incompetent, you will forever be missed. Vent helped me through the really tough times, it helped me regulate and identify my emotions but it's shut down now.
