#ThrowbackThursday: We're remembering Chris Burden, renowned artist and UC Irvine alumnus. This is the locker where Burden performed his master's thesis “Five Day Locker Piece" in 1971. Earlier this week, someone taped this handwritten, heartfelt note expressing how we all feel about his loss. "Chris Burden is one of the most significant artists, not only of Los Angeles but of this period of time," says Michael Govan, LACMA director and chief executive officer, to The Associated Press.
