NBC Cancels Community!

Community is well known for it’s insecurity within the cast and whether it gets a new season. I am very bummed out about Community's cancellation. This is a show that I had only watched one episode of and that was enough for me to go out and buy the first season straight away. 

Basic Rocket Science will always be my favourite episode because of that

Community, despite the silliness, was a very smart show. It had continuity like no other sitcom (rivaled only by Arrested Development) and comedy like no other sitcom. The characters were perfect, and I guess I should say Rest in Peace to them because

So farewell Community. It was fun while it lasted and you'll always be one of the special TV shows that I deemed worthy to buy on DVD before all others

Eugh this whole community thing sucks.

It was such a long time coming but it totally sucks.

I ranted loads in my journal about it and only then it sunk in more.

I found this show just before my life got a little bit shitty and it was this unreal thing I could relate to where life was different shades of nerdiness, hilariousness, closeness, with both loud out loud and really heartfelt moments and celebrating the fact that everyone is flawed and we all just have to band together and get through this crazy mess that is life.

I bonded with so many people over community, at university hardly any of our class spoke to each other the year or so, then we all discovered we all loved community and we all became really great friends through it.

Also Community along with Mad Men changed the way I thought about TV and screen writing in general, introducing me to one of my biggest idols in Dan Harmon.

It is just all abit poo but at least we got a great Dan Harmon season to go out with.
