All Muslim / Arab, Hispanic, Asian, African, Caribbean, people of color, need to stop differentiating themselves from being BLACK or "African-American". The UNC shooting of the 3 Muslim students - by a white shooter - would have been projected in the media in a totally different way if it was an inverse situation. The media would have promoted that Arabs/ Muslims are terrorists who shoot up schools, but they somehow seldom do that when White people shoot up schools, (White people have done that way more often by the way) and those are facts based off empirical evidence. The media deems white shooters as people with Mental Health issues. While that could be true in specific cases, Black people - or any people of color - do not get that same benefit of the doubt. We are killed on sight and deemed as terrorists, while evil acts done by Whites are essentially justified by the media, who creates perceptions and sentiment that would lead a majority of people to feel that WE deserve extreme punishment, instead of being investigated, going to trial and being found guilty or insane like THEM. I'm not saying you have to identify as being Black, if you are of certain heritage, nationality or religion, but understand that if you are NOT WHITE, in America, institutionalized things - like the media, law, and most common perceptions - will always go different for you.
